The Country's Biggest Tourist Trap: South of the Border {Gadling}
Jul 18th 2011 5:06PM I love it there! Where else can you see so much cheap tacky stuff in one place? I have pictures of my girls in the giant sombreros and next to the white shark statue, all over the place, really. C'mon, this article is a little too harsh - what's he expecting - Disney? When we travelled to Florida every year when I was growing up, we had a great time taking turns reading the signs and saying how many more miles it was until we reached SOTB. Great memories!
The Cage Debates: The Egg Industry Pushes Back {Slashfood}
Sep 9th 2010 6:19PM The Egg Industry is terrified of knowledgeable consumers, and are forever trying to discredit studies that put them in a bad light, which all reputable studies do. Of course they are going to say there is no difference - if they admitted there was, they would have to change the ways they raised their birds, and that would cost them more money. Here are two articles about what the egg labels really mean, and where to get REAL eggs.

Gadgets from Grandma's kitchen that should be in yours {WalletPop}
Jun 22nd 2010 10:32PM I was happy to note that, with the exception of the Bodum Press (I'm a tea drinker) I have and use every item mentioned. I also swear by my Farberware pots and pans - my mom still has hers and they're over 40 years old. Thanks for the article!
Motion History: Braveheart {Cinematical}
Jun 13th 2010 4:15PM Great article. Being of Scottish descent, I despaired of the historical inaccuracies in the film, but it remains a family favorite for the heart and spirit it evokes. There's no doubt it is an entertaining story, just as Disney's Pocahontas, which is equally full of historical gaffes. As a history buff, I can separate the movie from the fact, and enjoy them film for the pure entertainment. Thanks for pointing out the benefits of the film, despite its obvious errors.
Fox News Cuts Glenn Beck Off Mid-Rant (VIDEO) {AOL TV}
Jun 3rd 2010 10:11PM joeelev, you are exactly right. Why is it that the three of four commentators a Fox News have the White House in such a panic? Because all of the other Obamadrones fall in line, and they won't - scares the crap out of them that somebody might actually hear the truth. Are you liberals gonna cough up the money for the debt your man is creating? I only hope my children can survive this.
Pardoned Turkeys Won't Experience Magic of Disney? {Slashfood}
Nov 20th 2009 5:47PM Farn Sanctuary is correct - because these birds have been selectively bred to produce meat unnaturally fast, they need special diets. To treat them like other domestic animals is essentially cruel, as you are not giving them the diet they require. and swiftly become ill and die. Would you give a cow bird food and expect it to live? No, you give it the diet it requires. And B, you do not need three heritage turkeys instead of one engineered bird. Please do your research before making comments like yours. If the White House wants to do what's right, they should do what's right for the animals, not what's right for their image.
Is It Time to Stop Picking on Glenn Beck? {Inside TV Blog}
Nov 20th 2009 5:20PM Beck only states the obvious that the Obamadroids don't want to hear. He's right - we need to stand up for ourselves or we'll soon be another communist Russia. Wonder where they'll put the Gulags?
Mickey Mouse gets his edge back {WalletPop}
Nov 6th 2009 11:02AM This is a huge mistake. People have a very visceral connection with Mickey and Disney - the more they go, the more they want of the pure, innocent joy that Disney World can provide. There is so much ugliness in the world, why does Mickey have to be a part of it? Then where do we escape to? This will have a negative impact that will take years to recover from. I hope we can survive it.
Victoria Rowell Wears Obama Dress to Support Health Care Reform {Black Voices Insurance}
Sep 23rd 2009 1:30PM Why doesn't Obama start fixing some of the things that are already broken first before I hand over my health care to him? He hasn't done a single thing to make me trust him and his cronies, but i'm supposed to let him make decisions about my life?? Maybe after they pay back all the car dealerships.
Whole Foods drama continues: Unions join in fight against CEO {Daily Finance}
Aug 29th 2009 1:51AM I used to work at a local Whole Foods. It was one of the best jobs I ever had, one I had to leave for personal resons not having to do with the store. If more CEOs ran their businesses like John Mackey, no one would ever need a bailout. What kind of Americans are you people, to boycott someone who does so much good for so many because he shares a different opinion! This is not the Revolutionary War, when people boycotted those who sold goods made in Britain - Britain was a tyrant to the colonies at that time! What has Whole Foods done to deserve the same treatment? The right to think differently from your neighbors without fear of reprisal is one of the reasons so many flock here from other countries! If that's the way you think, move there, where everyone has to think alike, or else. What ignorance, what arrogance, what stupidity! I weep for my children's future surrounded like people like you.
