Mar 18th 2009 1:32AM I think that while it is true that many people do not understand the relative affordability of long term travel, coming up with even $3000 a month while not staying in one location is not something most people know how to do. I myself am up to about $1000 per month, but that is after a year of steady working building things up. I imagine I'll be able to get to a good healthy number (say $5k) in another year. We shall see, but it is certainly not a quick and easy thing for most people.
Mar 6th 2009 4:44PM Yeah, that isn't how metal detectors work at all. They use magnetic induction to gauge the presence of conductive objects. The method you propose will only work if the set sensitivity of the sensor is above the threshold that a small razor blade would trigger.
Feb 13th 2009 6:43PM So, how often do you wind up using these cots? To me, they seem like they would be nice once in a while but not worth carrying around all the time. Obviously you guys feel differently, so I'm curious to hear how else they can be useful.
