Gary Harrington of Oregon Jailed for Illegal Rainwater Reservoirs on His Property {AOL Real Estate}
Aug 13th 2012 6:37PM Thanks for clearing that up. I had a feeling that it must be a place where the free and natural flow of the rain water is important to all of the local landowners. However, since they originally issue the permits and he expended money to build the resevoirs, he should have his investment covered by the issuing agency.
Alan Ket, Graffiti Artist, Says His 'Murderers' Mural Was Censored by NYPD {AOL Real Estate}
Jul 27th 2012 2:48PM So just what exactly makes your opinion so much better than someone else's opinion. Don't you see that once you start censoring anything, everything else can be censored too. Where will it end? Freedom of speech means that we have to turn our heads and look the other way or turn off the TV or do not buy the magazine. It's not easy and that's why there is only one USA.
Deep sea hunter fishes underwater for five minutes - on one breath {Gadling}
Jan 26th 2011 6:10AM JRC,
If you would like your comments to be given serious consideration you should always make an attempt to use correct grammar and vocabulary. Do you know that THEY'RE is a contraction of the words THEY and ARE? Did you re-read what you had typed before clicking on ADD COMMENT? I do congratulate you, though for your proper use of the words THERE and THEIR. I am so tired of reading people's comments that have poor spelling and bad grammer. What has become of education in our country?
Deciphering Stephen Hawking {AOL Hot Searches}
Sep 3rd 2010 9:02AM When I read the ridiculous comments cutting down Hawking for expressing his personal belief concerning god, I laugh. Here they are expressing their opposite veiwpoints but fail to see the irony. Personally I find most people claiming belief in god to actually be rather childlike in their reasoning. I find all modern religion to be just as laughable as I find the belief of the druids, or belief in voodoo, or belief in Bigfoot, Loch Ness monster, etc.
Having Trouble Sleeping? {AOL Hot Searches}
Jun 20th 2008 6:22PM I have tried quite a few of the over-the-counter sleep aids. I find that Benedryl works pretty well but it leaves me with an excessively dry mouth and nasal passages. Yet, my physician told me after I inquired about taking the Benedryl for extended periods, that I had nothing to fear. Benedryl has been available over the counter for years and there have been very few complaints filed.
A couple of years ago my girl friend suggested that I try valerian root. It comes pre-packaged in gelatin capsules previously dried and grounded into a powder. This form works very well for me because it covers its one drawback, the smell. The dried root has a strong earthy smell that is a little strong. I became very familiar with the aroma after only a couple of exposures. It also comes in compounds where it has been dried and combined with other herbs such as passion flower. This form is pressed into a hard white pill about the size of a large vitamin C tablet. The aroma is almost unnoticeable in the tablet form. Once again it does work very well for me with no next day side effects.
Teen jailed for courthouse call {ParentDish}
May 24th 2008 11:49PM You know the real problem here goes much deeper than simple rudeness. People everywhere are becoming puppets to technology. It has become a conditioned response to answer a ringing phone. People act like Pavlov's dog when the bell goes off. The dog's mouth would start watering when he heard a bell ring because everytime he was about to be fed a bell would be rung first. The dog couldn't help itself. If a bell rang his mouth watered. If a phone rings most people feel like they absolutely have to answer. If I have someone in my office and the phone rings, I will not answer unless I am expecting a call. You should see the people get uncomfortable because I allow the phone to go unanswered. They ask me to please go ahead and answer it. Imagine that! They get physically uncomfortable. Try it sometime.
Golf Channel Anchor Kelly Tilghman Says Young Golfers Should 'Lynch Tiger Woods' {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
Jan 8th 2008 9:43PM How ridiculous to make this one comment to be assumed a racial slur. As it has already been pointed out in a prior comment, lynchings go exceptually far back in history. Lynchings where typically the local citizens taking the law into their own hands. I'm just guessing but I would make a large bet that many more supposed witches have been lynched than any other single group. I think that the comment was simply meant that today's young golfers don't stand a chance against Tiger unless something "bad" were to happen to his physical perfection at playing the "game" of golf.
Pee-Wee Back for Two More Films? {Cinematical}
Jul 30th 2006 11:59AM I loved the original Pee Wee Herman show on HBO. It had a little more of "Darker Side" than the Saturday morning show for kids. I enjoyed both and I even watched Saturday morning with my little children. Very interested in how Dark the Darker side would be! Bring it on and Hurry!!!!
