Aug 18th 2012 10:15AM When in Brevard, North Carolina, we always stay at the Hampton Inn. Their breakfasts are outstanding - sure no complaints here. The coffee is HOT. There are many breakfast choices, some to be zapped in a microwave - so freshly cooked and hot. Just love the place.

May 29th 2010 2:41PM I'm done with Air Canada. Had been flying with AC for years to see my mother, and I had been accumulating miles. But when my 92-yr-old mother went into the hospital, to take an immediate flight took way more miles than I had (90,000 - 120,000). So I inquired about emergency/illness air fare. The AC gal on the phone said, if there was a death, she quoted a lower fare (around $760) but, since that had not happened, I needed to pay $1,500 one-way. I went; was with my mother when she died a few days later. I went on-line to pursue a credit to get the reduced are. Sorry, I was told. AC doesn't do reduced fares between the U.S. and Canada. I filed papers with AC even telling them about the quoted reduced fare; they turned me down; I appealed; turned down again. I have cashed in the miles I had, and am in the process of canceling that special Air Canada miles credit card. I am done with Air Canada. Oh yes - my daughter did get a reduced fare State of Washington to Canada. That debate didn't get me anywhere either. Go figure.
