Brooklyn Bridge celebrates 128th anniversary {Gadling}

May 24th 2011 9:51PM The Eads Bridge in St. Louis, Missouri is older than the Brooklyn Bridge.
I wander if it will get as much attention when it has it's anniversary?

Fruitcake Taste Test {Kitchen Daily}

Dec 17th 2010 1:19PM Has anyone tried Fruitcake from College of the Ozarks, Springfield, Missouri? By accident I found them 4 yrs ago. I order a
3 lb. cake every year just before Thanksgiving. My mom baked Fruitcake every year from the early 40's till she passed away
in 2004. About a month before I cut the cake
I wrap it in a cheese cloth soaked in Apricot
Brandy like mom used to do. It tasts just like mom's with plenty of fruit, nuts and
cuts very good. Also, the doe mixture is a
little darker than most Fruitcakes and I believe has a better taste then lighter doe.
If you really like Fruitcake you need to try
this one.

Michelle Obama and the Arms Debate {Stylelist (Main)}

Mar 5th 2009 8:20PM How stupid to make a big issue out of bare arms. The
economy is going down the tubes and the press has
nothing better to do than worry about bare arms.
What is this world coming too???????????????

Girl Scouts shrink cookies, customers shrink sales {WalletPop}

Feb 23rd 2009 12:43PM I have for many years supported the Girl Scouts. My two girls
were Girl Scouts. They put a lot of time and effort in selling
cookies and I bought my fair share of them. This year I
scaled back on my purchases of cookies, not because of
economics, but because of how the national council is treating
the local girl scout troops. For the amount of effort a troop
puts into selling cookies their return is not in line with the
total dollar intake. Now, again this year the amount of cookies
in a box are less. Sorry, but next year I will not be buying any
cookies. Non-profit organization?

The Girl Scouts earn a Cheapskate patch: Fewer cookies in the box this year {WalletPop}

Jan 26th 2009 2:51PM Will start baking my own cookies again. For the money you
keep getting less. The baker of the cookies and the national
Girl Scout Council get most of the money. Local Girl Scouts
don't get their fair share of the money.
