For The Love Of Water: A Real-Life Mermaid {AOL Jobs}
Jul 14th 2010 2:04PM Hi Linden! Please send this story to Wilhelmina models in NYC, and LA! I was a model (years ago) and because I have very long blonde hair (they called me goldilock's) I booked so many "mermaid" campaign's. Such as one for "Sony Videos Cameras", Sun-in...anyway, I made up to five figure's a day doing this- so YOU go girl! Contact them- talk to their Modeling and TV division (it's only for commercial's-but they'll spend the time managing you) Actually, you may need a manager first, and they will work with the agency and your tv rep) and take a few acting classes, just in case they do a Splash 11. I'm VERY serious! Contact me, if you have any questions- goldengateavenue@aol.com. You need to get set-up w/ the right people that are proffesional and can manage your career, so YOU can be in the water!!! Goodluck! Julie

Apr 10th 2010 8:59PM Textile/Fabric Advice Needed! Help, from anyone in the know? My DREAM is to get involved w/ a growing "up & coming hip store/boutique" that has the potential of becoming a very large corp. (like Forever 21, Anthroplogie, Free The People). I have been a dealer for years now of textiles/fabrics at numerous "textile shows" across the country. After years of hearing that I have an "amazing taste" for specific and special fabrics, and hear that my sense of style for "fabric", is "the best they've seen," as I have sold to many people that work for, and are the finders/designers for textiles, for companies such as Forever 21, etc.
So, my question is, HOW can I get involved with a business that is in need of a person who could bring to the table, great samples/examples to make their clothing? Or home goods?
