Hitchhiker's Requiem {Gadling}

Mar 27th 2010 4:39PM Interesting thought on the subject...why is it so much easier to hitch when you're outside of the U.S vs in? Is it because of stories like your Dad told? You just don't do that in the States because there are more "stories" of bad things happening?
I don't know a good answer to my queries, but it would be interesting to find out where people are most comfortable hitching and why.
