Rat Sends Alaska Airlines Plane Back to Gate {AOL Travel News}

Feb 12th 2011 5:54PM Alaska Airlines....
A rat on the plane....
Was Sarah Palin going back to Alaska?
And, if so, how did the "rat" get onto another plane?

Catholic Preschool Boots Child Because Parents Are Lesbians {Politics Daily}

Mar 9th 2010 12:30PM I had 16 years of closed-minded, Catholic manipulating, mind-control schooling. Three of the nuns were committed and many of the nuns and priests married each other. I never went back. Catholic Church = Boy's Club. Don't want to belong or play the game? Then you are damned to hell.

Bad people. It is probably best that the child isn't exposed to what the Catholics offer - toxic poison for the mind and soul.

'American Idol' Contestant Ousted Over Criminal Record {AOL TV}

Feb 17th 2010 11:57AM And we thought American Idol was about the talent...
It's big business and as such, a big business makes some very successful decisions and also makes very bad decisions. How bad the decisions are mandate whether the success continues or not.
Paula left because of bad decisions.
Considering Howard Stern was a bad decision.
What they did to Danelle Hayes was a bad decision.
Consistency matters. If Idol wants to maintain the standards it professes to have ... Howard Stern? 'Come on!!!
So, it is a double-standard. That leads people to not respect you and that leads to people not watching you anymore.
Ryan Seacrest branched out in a plethora of other employment options...smart guy.
It's too bad as the concept was excellent and America watched it on the edge of their seats for many years. Danelle--follow Simon to his new show.

Hiring Managers Speak Out: 8 Things That Seal the Deal {AOL Jobs}

Feb 15th 2010 10:08PM ...And as long as hiring managers continue asking "banal" interview questions and looking at things like these 8 traits that "seal the deal", they will continue to make bad hiring decisions. I am not going to advertise what I do, however I can tell you that until people are matched to a job (Harvard Business Review), bad hires of terrible people will continue just as described in this article. Nothing that these 8 traits exhibit will contribute to a Top Performing Employee.
Bad article.

Target to Demote 8,000? Ouch! {AOL Jobs}

Feb 6th 2010 12:21PM I once had a very wise manager tell me the secret to Human Resources ... "Don't treat your people like crap."
I was a store manager for Circuit City. Target ... let the consumer decide. You suck. Your policies suck. And, people, show your economic vote ... stop shopping there. Target sucks.

Michelle Obama's toxic veggie nightmare: White House organic garden polluted with sludge {Daily Finance}

Jul 31st 2009 5:26PM ...and we are surprised that there is now hard evidence that there is crap left over from the Clinton Administration at the White House?

Re-animator: Circuit City rises from the dead as a dot.com {WalletPop}

May 22nd 2009 4:10PM I worked for Circuit City as a Store Manager. They were terrible to their employees... even worse to their customers. Their business philosophy was, well, er, flawed to saw the least.

Let the buyer beware. If you were dumb enough to buy from them when they were a train-wreck business, go ahead and buy from the train-wreck website.

I wish you the worst. I hope you crash and burn and that they make a documentary about how stupid it is to bring back to life something that at least died a merciful death. Gee, how about Woolworth's online? Linens N Things online?

Let the market mandate who and why things don't work and let them die.

Circuit City was an evil that the American market said there was no room for.

Tell you friends! Stay away! Be afraid! Bad! Bad! Bad!

Circuit City reduces inventory -- the easy way {WalletPop}

Jan 14th 2009 7:31PM The marketplace (and thieves that belong to it) prevail!!!!!
Circuit City fired their most experienced employees in 2003 because they were making too much. Then, again, they wne through and finished the job firing anyone making over $12 an hour.
Now, let's see. Is there a big surprise that what they have left working there even care what goes out the door (much less knowing anything about what is still in the store for sale?).
As with any business (or any life situation), you do dumb things, you can expect dumb things o happen.
It is appalling that Circuit City was even mentioned in Good to Great as they are a glaring example of what not to do, when not to do it, how not to treat your people, and how not to stay in business.
Let's get this over with and see them go under.

Southwest pilot called in sick after passengers accused him of drinking {Gadling}
