Its a dog & pony show. Mythic is using the population statistics in a manner that allows them to skew the data to look favorably. As some earlier commenters pointed out - the overall balance has zero meaning to any player on any given server.
The number of 'active accounts' is also another VAGUE term created by Mythic to further skew their data. I'd challenge them to release the data on all currently subscribed accounts, IMO that would be the true number that mattered. Many WAR players can tell you that Mythic uses the term 'active accounts' for the coveted guild experience as well - but over the past 6 months or so they still have yet to define exactly what an 'active account' is.
An open letter to US Airways {Gadling}
Jan 8th 2009 2:25PM I fly USAir on a weekly basis - mostly due to the fact that they are the only airline that serves my hometown.
I was looking for a gate agent to help me prior to a flight yesterday in Charlotte, and actually found her hiding behind the podium - apparently wanting to avoid the customers until the last minute before boarding. Its not the first time I've seen that behavior from their agents.
USAirways seems to hire customer service employees from the bottom of the barrel in their hub cities. I guess you get what you pay for - but I do wonder if the airline is tripping over a dollar to pick up a nickel.
