Video: A Crash Landing From The Pilot's Point Of View {Gadling}

Jul 13th 2012 1:45PM Its a glider and he ran out of air life and had to come down. There is no engine to give him power, he was on his way down and no way to get back up. Did you not know that it was a glider? He had been flying for awhile and lost the wind and risers so he had to come down.

Sarah Ferguson: They 'Destroyed' Me Because I'm a Royal Ex Wife {PopEater}

Jul 5th 2011 8:14AM Not the least bit sympathetic. She was a trashy wife and she has led a trashy greedy life, hawking everything she could think of including trying to get money from people by telling them they could have access to the royal family through her. When she was selling diet information, Oprah just loved her and has given her access to us. She needs to go back under the rock from which she came.

Source: Charlie Sheen 'Destroyed' by Ashton News {PopEater}

May 17th 2011 8:15AM You know Charley and his booze and drugs hurt us all too. He wants us to be his fans at all costs and thats as nuts as he is. Ashton is a funny guy and can do the job and I will watch. Does Charley think that he is so great we are happy watching reruns while he slowly kills himself. Maybe he can move on now too.

'The Girl's Guide to Homelessness' Author Brianna Karp Offers Advice to Young People on the Streets {ParentDish}

Apr 26th 2011 12:55PM so the real message should be don't spend everything you make. Older people used to call it a rainy day fund but then those are people who were not led to believe that the government would provide everything and you need not invest in yourself at all. Its a stupid story.

Peanut Allergy Protest a 'Misunderstanding,' Florida School District Says {ParentDish}

Mar 23rd 2011 8:03PM to have the other children take on this responsibility for this child's safety IS unreasonable. Actually to put the student to risk if one child does not continually wash and rinese their mouths,etc. is too much to ask. It may be that this child needs to be in another educational situation rather than trying to make the public school and/or the students try to meet this challenge. What if a child accidentally has peanuts on their clothing and the child has a severe reaction, does that child then have to be put into counseling to understand what happened? This is too much to expect from others, the student is at risk and does not belong in this classroom.

McDonald's Courts Sustainability {Slashfood}

Mar 14th 2011 2:53PM Thats just so much happy talk for the current green fad. Unfortunately it is a fad. The true greenies were hijacked by "pop" green phonies and this whole McDonald's thing is just so much advertising for that mindset. It would be a a lot better if McDonald's would buy beef and other materials from US Manufacturers where such "sustainability" (what a buzzword) could be monitored. After reading along, it seems as though they are still going to loot the Amazon basin but the pop greenies will feel good cuz McD says they won't do it so much. Buy beef from the Midwest, make it healthy and make it local. Thats sustainable. Telling us that they are going to have higher standards for cutting down the rain forest is so silly. Iowa doesn't have any rain forests, but they do have beef. McD's is part of the US economy problem, low wages, no benefits and buys everything outside the US. After reading this baloney I am more inclinded to boycott McD (but then there is really no actual food there anyhow, just beef past and chicken parts).

Cruise Updates Following the Japan Earthquake and Hawaii Tsunami {AOL Travel News}

Mar 11th 2011 2:15PM Tidal waves do not cross the ocean as a huge wave like they show in movies in fact you might not even know that one passed under you. they don't become waves until the reach a beach where the power forces the water into a wave and it slams ashore. Ocean going vessel, especially USN and USCG have detectors on the bottom of the hull to detect an underwater "wave" passing by. As the ocean floor rises to make the beach is where the wave becomes a big wave.

Congress Gives Consumers a Gift, But Some Want to Take it Back {WalletPop}

Mar 7th 2011 8:21AM If I feel that AOL is a dangerous product becuase it presents half truths sometime, can I get that complaint circulated? If I have a 91 Ford Escort and the mechanic can't repair it can I try to ruin his business cuz I am crazy? The purpose this article is simply to save the intact bureaucracy of the Product Safety administration that has...well though he didn't mean to told us is a failed operation because they don't investigate anything in a timely manner. Product safety has 23,000 employees but if a company opens up and starts selling poision cookies. the city/county health department will shut them down...the Product Safety Administration will let us know the cookies are bad in about 2-3 years. The article is about a befuddled, failed government agency trying to scare us into writing our congressmen to save them. Why? They have not saved us. Product problems are always found by state and local health (or safety) agencies and the Federal agency will just report their findings. If the money spent on the Federal agency was shifted to state and local agencies we would get the alerts within days. This article is meant to mobilize people to fight the reduction of Federal bureaucracy by scaring us into thinking they do something and in fact the writer suggests that we need to spend more on the failed agency. Folks, the food recalls are caught by the local inspectors, not the Feds, the massive Federal agency just reports it to make it look like they are doing something. We have wave after wave of these needless, failed Federal agencies.

Reports: Carmelo Anthony Finally Traded to the Knicks {Fanhouse NBA Blog}

Feb 22nd 2011 8:44AM So here is the thing and I hope it causes some people to think rather than just be offended. I love basketball and I loved the not so distant past of Bird, Magic, Jordan. Today's NBA is not about basketball nor is the fan base about basketball. Its a gay lifestyle, and thats fine but just don't kid yourself about it. I went to an NBA game this year, someone gave us the tickets and the fans are well...gay. Its about dressing up like a rapper, wearing a lot of chains and having your hat just right and your clothes this way or that way. The game? Well, its like an exhibition game, like wrestling is and not about basketball. Anyone in the crowd under 40 is gay or latently gay and are there to admire the men, lust after the players as men, not players and the crowd is like a gay day parade. The most pathetic are the white guys who dress up like black guys and even do the walk. Its like a huge gay bar scene. And the violence in the crowd and posturing and stabbings and throwdowns? You can find that in the cheesier gay bars. The "tude" that most think they are showing? That is called "drama queen" across town. The NBA is a minor, exhibition sport and no one really cares about Melo or LeBron except for the gay fan base and the cable sports outlets who want it to be more cuz thats the cheapest sport TV package and pretty soon the games will be shown after midnight on the Weather Channel. Dude, its gay. Look around you, think. Its gay man, its a giant gay day parade of latents who need to just come out. The WNBA is out and does gay game days, etc. Everyday is gay game day in the NBA.
