Abdul Tweets: I'm Leaving 'Idol' {PopEater}
Aug 5th 2009 6:12PM If they were worried about ratings last year, they will have a real problem this year when she leaves. While she played the role of the "nice" judge she was likable and does have talent. She does know what she is talking about and the contestants all loved her. I personally could not stand Cara and couldn't understand why they would add her to the show. She was totally not needed. They needed to leave it the way it was. I lost interest last year when they added the fourth judge and now Paula is leaving. NO thanks, the show will tank this season. TOO bad, I have enjoyed it for all these years. Last year was my least favorite because of Cara.
Palin: I'll Get Back to You on That, Katie {Politics Daily}
Sep 25th 2008 9:12AM WHY are people complaining about how hard the interviewers are on her? SO WHAT?
She is running for VP and could be President, will you all be complaining that leaders of unfriendly countries "aren't nice" to her? If she can't take the pressure of tough questions from a news anchor, what is she going to do when she is confronted by the real world? The world is a highly dangerous place, she is in safe territory when she is being interivewed by American news anchors or journalists. You complain because they aren't nice to her? Come on---wake up, she isn't prepared in any way to take on this job.
Cockpit Chronicles: Paris - Chez (grand) Papa {Gadling}
Jul 4th 2008 1:53AM First, I love reading your entries, I find them SO interesting. I lived in Brookline,MA for four years while in grad school (2001-2005) and took flying lessons up at Lawrence Municipal, just north of Boston. We would fly put along the Merimac River and north along the coastline and it is so gorgeous. I fly out of a small airport in Carmel, Indiana now, and it is pretty boring, endless miles of corn and soybeans. Your entries and pictures provide me some relief when
I can't get away to travel.
Also, my daugther has developed a paralyzing fear of flying. I have had her start reading your entries and she is somewhat better, she is realizing that the pilots aren't up there in a panic!! It has helped.
I have sent every one of these to her and she loves them. so thank you for that.
Maybe you could address the fear of flying, she has missed several great vacations due to her fear and she is so frustrated about it.
Thank you again for taking the time to write!!
Cockpit Chronicles: A three-legged turn {Gadling}
Apr 4th 2008 8:53AM Thank you so much for writing this. I LOVED the pictures of Boston, so beautiful. It made me homesick, as I lived downtown when I went to school across the river in Cambridge. I took flying lessons when I was working on my graduate degree at Lawrence airport, just north of Boston, in one of those little Cessnas........I loved it and really was able to get over my fear of flying. I forwarded this to my daughter who barely can fly due to extreme anxiety. Hopefully, she will understand a bit more about what goes on. Thank you so much for doing this. Very stressful career, and thank you for everything.

2007 CMA Awards Winners {PopEater}
Nov 8th 2007 9:30AM The above comments about it being just an awards show is shallow. The results of last night represents all that is corrupt and exposes all of the hypocrites that exist in that world. You have a closeted gay performer winning, who wouldn't even be allowed on stage if he came out!!! Who cares if he is possibly gay? Does that negatively affect his ability to perform?Keith Urban has been honest and strong and admitted to his alcohol issues, which I respect, then we have the Dixie Chicks issue, which shouldn't be an issue at all. Obviously, if you are going to be succesful in country music world, you must be good looking, straight, white, a christian, loyal to the USA, even if the leaders are criminals. It is the Good Ole Boy Club in full control.
I love some of the music, and will continue to be loyal to those I enjoy, but will always reject the close minded bureaucrats that surround and infiltrate the business.
Who would you like to sit with on a plane? {Gadling}
Nov 2nd 2007 9:58AM Keith Urban, but he most likely is on Nicole's private jet, anyone know?
