House of the Day: Over the Top, Inside and Out {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 8th 2011 6:42PM The people who live in Manhattan Beach are easily the most snobbish, bourgeois yuppies I have ever met in my entire life!! Mostly nouveau riche, they all barrel their Beemer SUV's through the streets of Manhattan Beach WAY over the speed limit, always through stop signs, because they are too damn busy yacking on their cell phones to pay attention to the road! If they actually do hit you with their cars, they get out of their SUV's and start screaming at you for making them drop their calls! Like the Star-bellied Sneeches, they deliniate themselves from other MB'ers by where in Manhattan Beach you live: the people who live closer to the beach feel they are superior to the people in the Trees Section; the Trees Section people look down on anyone who lives east of Sepulveda Boulevard; if someone who lives west of Sepulveda sees their child playing in the same sandbox as a child who lives east of Sepulveda, the western parent will snatch their child away from the eastern child to avoid the bad influence as well as the public humiliation of having their child seen associating with the other child.
Manhattan Beach is full of nothing but evil white-trash bourgeois yuppies with money! For 11 Million Dollares, I would much rather live in Palos Verdes, a few miles to the south and up on a peaceful mountain. Rolling Hills Estates, Rancho PV and PV Estates are all WAY more classy than Manhattan Beach could ever dream to be!

The Most Popular Celebrity Hairstyles of All Time {Stylelist (Main)}

May 27th 2011 12:53AM What about the "Kojak?" Telly Savalas's shaved head made me want to run out and shave my head when I was 8 years old! Finally, 15 years ago, Billy Zane's shaved head DID have me running out and shaving my head bald! Now I do it every summer after having hair all winter long. I get to shave me head again this weekend--I can't wait!

LONG LIVE "The Kojak!"

New Wife, New Kitchen {Shelterpop}

Mar 27th 2011 12:45PM I was pleasantly surprised when the article mentioned Monet's Kitchen! I went to Monet's house in Giverny, France in 2008 and remember how bright and sunny the kitchen was, even on an overcast day! Monet was the most successful artist in France at the time; he and his second wife (he was a widower with children when they met) lived quite happily and successfully in this house with their collective 11 children. I can see resemblances in Mr. Preiser's kitchen and Monet's kitchen as well!

Of course, Monet's house in Giverny is mostly known for its gardens, including the water garden which was the inspiration for Monet's "Water Lilies" paintings, among many others. Giverny is less than an hour north of Paris and I highly recommend this side trip!
