Recession Travel's Give and Take {Digital City Blog}

Mar 30th 2009 3:38PM Jon - another thing for people that are thinking about staying in hotels: our site, DealBase.com (http://www.dealbase.com) analyzes hotel packages and tells you whether the deal is really providing you savings or not.

We do this by comparing the contents of a hotel deal with standard prices for items, so you know if the package rate is cheaper than your putting it together yourself. In times like these, there's a lot of genuine bargains out there, but it's always good to confirm if you're really getting a deal or not.

AT&T counting on new iPhone this summer; carrier apps to figure prominently? {Engadget}

Nokia E71x arriving at AT&T stores, due out next Tuesday {Engadget}

Mar 20th 2009 2:44PM I had a Dash but the visuals and reboot slowness got me down. I got an iPhone 3G for Christmas, and though the visuals are much better and it's a better fit for Google Apps (which our company runs on), I really do miss the tactile keyboard of the Dash. I have always been a Nokia fan but the sleeker designs always seem to be not supplied by the US carriers. :-(

Dec 11th 2008 1:01PM I just read your truly-failed test story - OMG what a S.O. travel story from hell!!!

These are some very helpful tips here... Living in SF, I think it's an easy jaunt to Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, or Yosemite (if you want to "rough it"), to administer the Travel Test.

Re: planning ahead for road bumps. any example scripts you can share with us as to what have been most effective negotiations for you? :)
