Plane Answers: Wing inspection lights and a recent severe turbulence encounter {Gadling}
Sep 7th 2009 5:02PM Hey Kent! Thanks for answering my question about the wing inspection lights. That was a pretty quick response too. My MD-80 flight was on your airline by the way. You were definitely right about the cabin being very quiet during cruise. Even though I was in row 25 it was a smooth and quiet ride except for the two blabber mouths sitting directly behind me cackling like little kids at a playground. Oh that grinds my gears!
Thanks,
Alex

I'm from LA and now I'm wondering where this geatest little Mexican restaurant is. Are you allowed to tell us the name and where it is? I can tell you where to get the best grilled chicken in LA for about $5. Just make sure that if you go there you go while the sun is still out.

Here's the website of someone who did the "Pilot For A Day" program at United.

Cockpit Chronicles: Back to the simulator {Gadling}
Dec 4th 2008 10:54PM I've heard United Airlines actually rents out their simulators for a hefty fee. They have a program that's kind of like " be a United pilot for a day." I think you get some ground school and then they let you fly the simulator. I've heard of regular people getting that as a birthday present. I've read about it in Aviation mags I think. It would be cool to do that but even better would be to be an actual airline pilot. Are you working on becoming an airline pilot Michelle?

Dec 3rd 2008 11:21PM Hey Kent,
Thanks for posting again! I was having withdrawl symptoms from not reading any new posts in a while. Can't wait to find out where you went during the Thanksgiving trip. Good cliffhanger.
