Galley Gossip: Airline uniforms (plus a chance to win free tickets on Olympic Airlines) {Gadling}
Jun 1st 2009 10:00PM While I love Delta's red dress uniform, I will never forget stopping in my tracks in Atlanta a year or two ago at the sight of a full Lufthansa flight crew walking down International Concourse E side by side. The crowd literally parted around them. All I could think of was my Dad's stories of flying TWA, Pan Am, and Eastern in the 60's and 70's through New York and Miami and thinking that THIS was as close as I'll ever see to that era.
Through the Gadling Lens: SLRs vs point-and-shoots, and how to edit photos without feeling like you're cheating {Gadling}
Dec 2nd 2008 1:42PM Thank you so much for this article! I too have been throughly opposed to using photo editing tools as disapproving images of my high school photography teacher filled my mind. I can now appreciate how photo editing can be used to improve the artistic qualities of a photograph while still being true to the image captured. Oh, and full disclosure, I will confess to once editing out a fat guy in a red shirt against a field of dark green pine trees who blundered into my shot of a friend examining a fine fall pumpkin at the last second...I felt bad for days but she loved the image. :-)
