The study doesn't take into account defensive uses in which a shot was not fired (99% of the uses), and it doesn't reflect intruders avoiding homes with firearms inside.

Jan 6th 2013 9:56AM No, they will start mumbling about "military style" whatever that is, weapons and too many bullets etc, etc. The whole point of the 2nd Amendment was to guarentee that the populace HAD military weapons. BTW, most of these gun fearers don't realize that the MILITARY also use shotguns.

Stop Rap Music with violence in it, and quit selling games with gun violence in them. Try that for 10 years and see if that doesn't help the culture of violence that kids grow up with today. Oh my, that's a different story isn't it?

Sep 10th 2011 11:16AM I'm glad someone cares about Pit Bulls, but they might be a little more honest. "Pit Bull". They were originally bred to fight bulls in pits. DUH. They catch, and they don't turn loose when they catch. We use them in Florida, Lousiana and Texas to cross with cur dogs to work Brahma cattle. They go ahead and catch the cattle and don't let go. Yes, they can be gentle around people, but keep in mind, they WILL catch, they DO catch and all the doggie manners in the world aren't going to overcome heredity.

Jun 12th 2011 9:18AM BFD. Go to Tuscon and see all the surplus airplanes parked there. After WWII the Gov sold all the "surplus' airplanes. Often people who purchased them sold the fuel left in them for more than the price of the plane. Airplane manufacturers screamed because it cut into their sales so now the Gov doesn't requires demilling of the planes. This also happened with jeeps, trucks etc, so now it is hard to obtain a vehicle that isn't cut up.
