Top American Destinations To Avoid In 2013 {Gadling}

Jan 7th 2013 1:31PM As a current resident of Los Angeles and a former resident of Salt Lake City, the way this article characterizes these cities is made up entirely of stereotype.

The LA valley was hazy when settlers first arrived. Los Angeles' air is a product of the Eastern Pacific's tendency to produce hazy water vapor in horizontal layering, some of the haze you see is pollution but you can' t compare LA's and Chicago's air by sight alone.

The cultures of LA are extremely diverse, anyone who thinks otherwise has been watching too many movies. If your experience of LA is one that includes snootiness then I suggest you get your butt out of Westwood, Santa Monica, and West-LA and go visit Pasadena, Los Feliz, or Toluca Lake for real people.

Salt Lake City an hour away from every climate you can think of and has some of the best breweries I've encountered on all my travels. If you want a memorable beer visit Squatters, if you want a great cocktail at an even better price go to Bar-X.

If you don't go into a place with preconcieved notions, you're not likely to bump into any negative stereotypes.

New Yorker Headbutts Production Assistant on 'Premium Rush' Set {Cinematical}

Aug 11th 2010 12:54AM I wasn't there, but as a current production assistant I do all I can to be courteous while doing my job. Performing a "freeze" on an area has to be one of the more tedious and tricky aspects of the job. This is because you have less than zero authority to fulfill the task you've been given, but failure noticed by the wrong people can ruin your chances to attain what very well might be a lifelong dream.

The kid had no authority over the assailant, i think the assailant fully knew this therefore he could have walked right out the door without anything wirse than a blown take occurring Unless the gentleman was being defending himself from the PA, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent if the law.

Switched On: A new spin on external hard drives, part two {Engadget}

Pardon the awkward sentence structure, I'd drunk.

Switched On: A new spin on external hard drives, part two {Engadget}

May 15th 2010 6:01PM As a media professional who would prefer to take smaller (dimension-wise) devices into the field, this doesn't help too much.

As a consumer who would prefer to not be required to buy a new enclosure and drives every time a new inteface comes out (but naked drives seem wrong) I fully support this and with not only the utility in mind but the mentality behind this system.

I support this idea, and will vote for that fact with my money.

Photo of the Day 5.12.10 {Gadling}

May 12th 2010 9:36PM I'm so, so sorry. But that fake vignette is killing me. It's a good picture, but that vignette makes me very very sad. :-(

Despite legal threats, Apple stair back on Ebay {TUAW.com}

Mar 2nd 2010 10:48AM Seems like it would have been easier for the dude to edit his previous auction with a throwaway email address and price, first person to deliver the funds gets the stair and he stays anonymous.
