Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick Angers Hamptons Neighbors With Hedge Blocking Views {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 14th 2012 4:51PM Bella, you have a choice; don't work for the man! Too many people "bitch" about their "unfair" employers; thinking that all are RICH; when most just live a little above the middle class(?) income.

Oct 14th 2012 4:45PM I agree, however, I'm wondering how much taxpayer monies are used in keeping the Hamptons pristine? That, that I've seen is all occupied; leaving the property owner responsible to pay "all" taxes! Where am I wrong?

Oct 14th 2012 4:29PM The Hamptons (the more exclusive areas, anyway) are full of 12 foot tall hedges. These owners want,and deserve their privacy. Ask the other property owners to tear out their hedges, then maybe, Mr. Lutnick might comply! Until then, leave the man alone!

An Inside Look At The Old TWA Terminal At JFK {Gadling}

Oct 8th 2012 1:44PM And, people used to dress up to fly. Now, one observes a "dressed down" flyer. There are people dressing as if they were taking a bus...rather than an airplane. I for one would NEVER fly without wearing a business suit, but that's just me.

Statue of Liberty getting five webcams for 125th anniversary {Gadling}

Oct 25th 2011 7:49PM Hmmmm...it's hard for me to believe the cameras are just to view the surrounding area...that view has been available for the past 130 years. However, could it be that government "spying" on American citizens is possible? I wouldn't put anything past our "Hope and Change" government...especially the White House occupants!

Are You Dating a Man or a Boy? 10 Home Goods That Will Tell You {Lemondrop}

Jan 2nd 2011 11:42PM Well, well, well. I'm certainly not the "perfect" husband, and at 75 I don't plan to be... But, I still work 10-14 hour days; six and sometimes seven days per week. Everyone knows that farming isn't easy...right? OK! Now on to the subject at hand. My wife of 48 years, and I share a large home. We also share all of the chores, however, she does a disproportionate share. Even though it doesn't take a lot of effort to maintain a clean home, I like (demand) a clean kitchen, a clean bathroom, a bed made (properly) every day, and a garage with absolutely nothing on the floor except car tires; even when I have to do the chores alone! Yes, we do the chores together, but I figure, if I demand a clean environment, I need to be part of the solution; not the problem. I think that my wife found a jewel (me) because I certainly found a jewel 48 years ago!

Is Magnesium The Key To Higher Fuel Economy? {Translogic}

Jan 2nd 2011 10:46PM Dave, I would bet that you live on the east coast where a 400 mile trip, in any direction (except east) would place you in not less than 10-12 states. I'll tell you why we "STILL" need cars, rather than the monorail. MONEY, or the lack thereof! A monorail system, serving the entire nation would take a lifetime, or, more to build, and would bankrupt our already bankrupt nation. Can you imagine a monorail, say from my city of Albuquerque to, say, Amarillo, Texas (312 miles apart)or, El Paso, Texas (180 miles apart) or, Flagstaff, Arizona (324 miles apart)or, Denver, Colorado (444 miles apart?) We live in our cars in the western part of America. But then, you easterners don't understand our needs!

Is Magnesium The Key To Higher Fuel Economy? {Translogic}

Jan 2nd 2011 10:21PM Yep! We used to take a VW tranny case to the beach (in the 50's) and set it on fire. It would burn for hours.
