Delta Air Lines charges returning soldiers for checked bags {Gadling}
Jun 7th 2011 10:47PM just pointing out that your link states active military can check 3 bags for free in coach and 4 bags for free if sitting in first class. that video was obviously shot in coach. so the agent checking them in was correct.
its obviously up to the agent to waive the fees accordingly but he/she did their job correctly.
"Will the first or second bag policy apply to active U.S. Military personnel checking bags?
No. U.S. Military personnel on active duty with travel orders may check in 3 bags in Economy Class and up to 4 checked bags in First/Business on Delta aircraft or Delta Connection® carriers, at no additional charge. Each bag has a maximum weight of 70 lbs (32 kg) and size of 80 linear inches (203 cm)."

10 Reasons London's Tube is better than the NYC Subway {Gadling}
Jan 30th 2010 12:29PM ny'er here. we cant blame (all) the residents of the city for the horrible service, the system itself is old- its aged, and it shows. this post took into account all the underground stations, a large part of train system in nyc runs above ground as well, and those stations are by far cleaner, safer and easier to navigate.

Feb 9th 2009 11:35PM all im saying is that on my last BA flight from LHR to GLA i had some wonderful and might I add not so young, and not so model-esque FA's. No complaints from anyone that these foreign (to me an American) ladies were large and in charge.
Galley Gossip: Lindsay Lohan throws a fit when she's denied a first class seat! {Gadling}
Feb 8th 2009 6:59PM i checked in Tara Reid for a JFK/ATH flight, i would have missed who she was until i read her passport i kneeeew she looked familiar but it wasnt clicking. she was so normal. (granted shes a bit of a nut from the media point of view, she was extremely nice this day) she went through security with her friends, waited on line for boarding even though she was first class and could have skipped.
HOWEVER from the business class lounge she did call to complain to the airline that the food wasn't kosher in the lounge.

Nov 23rd 2008 7:10PM I got to enjoy my blackberry curve for a full day, on day 2 I was on the jet bridge waiting for the plane to block in when one of the guys on the ramp thought it would be funny to scare me from behind. It was all very hilarious till we watched my phone fall from the bridge to the floor then crushed into teeeeeny pieces as the push back truck drove over it. yea... big laugh i got outta that one lol.
