Illustrious Favre Streak Ending Overdue {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Dec 14th 2010 8:03AM The sexting comments were totally inappropriate and very immature. Then again, I've never had a lot of respect for reporters who input too much of their own opinion and not enough fact.

Man Sues United Airlines, Claiming Injuries Resulted from Open Aircraft Door {AOL Travel News}

Dec 2nd 2010 7:34AM I was a flight attendant for nearly 10 years. The cockpit door caused a depressurization danger? How absurd! The cockpit is not pressurized separately from the rest of the cabin. It's all on the same circuit. Besides, the doors are locked and now more or less hardened, but they do not totally seal off from the cabin. So to say the cockpit door flew open and hurt him, that's plausible. They are heavy and cumbersome now. To say the cabin experienced a depressurization due to it is moronic.

Adam Shankman Makes a Gay Marriage Proposal to Nigel Lythgoe (VIDEO) {AOL TV}

Aug 6th 2010 7:46AM Bunny-

I do agree that God created everyone and everything. But to say that God created people to be gay? Gay people are born that way? It's not a choice? Can you cite scientific studies that prove or refute your statements?

Aug 6th 2010 7:41AM Dejonna-

You know? That's the wonderful thing about this country... We're all entitled to our own opinions, AND we're entitled to voice them. I wasn't "pushing" anything on anyone, merely sharing my opinion. If you don't like that, it's more your problem than mine.

Adam Shankman Makes a Gay Marriage Proposal to Nigel Lythgoe (VIDEO) {AOL TV}

Aug 5th 2010 12:28PM Love the sinner, hate the sin. That's Biblical teaching. My best friend is gay and I love him. He was my best man at my first wedding. A person's sexual interests have no bearing on my like or dislike of a person, or their merit as a human being. That said... I'm a Christian man. I believe that God created marriage for a man and a woman. That's how we were created. He didn't create Adam and Evan. It was Adam and Eve. Gay marriage has become a political platform more than anything else. I don't care if you live together, love together, adopt a child, have health insurance, etc... but marriage is another story. When two men or two women marry each other, it's not a real marriage. Sure, it may be legal in the scheme of man-made law. But it's not within the construct of God's law. Whether you're Christian or not, Gay or Hetero, Believer or Athiest... it makes no difference. You don't have to believe something in order for it to be the truth. When gay people marry, it makes a mockery of God and a traditional family structure. Fortunately, the gay people I know and love are mature and discretionary about their personal activities. My own cousin is gay and her partner is a Presbyterian minister... figure that one out! It's not my place to judge, and I won't. But I know the truth of what I believe. Everyone's entitled to their opinions. I was personally put off by Adam's comments last night. It wasn't appropriate to make a political statement in that venue.

Homeowners Association That Evicted U.S. Soldier Gets Death Threats {Housingwatch}

Jul 2nd 2010 7:30AM This is just further confirmation that HOA's are crap and I won't live in a community that requires one. NO ONE will tell me what I can or can't due to or in a home I own! Period. End of story. Dues to HOA's are outrageous and what do they really pay for anyway? That's my opinion...

And... is HOA dues really considered a bill? It's not a utility. It's not a mortgage. It's not secured or unsecured debt... so how do they get off being able to foreclose on someone's home for membership dues? That's absurd!

'I Had an Atheist Wedding' {Lemondrop}

Jul 1st 2010 12:51PM At first I didn't want to read this article, in pity and disgust for the writer. I personally know God and have a trusting relationship with Him. I know without a shadow of a doubt that He blesses me each day. After my first wife and I divorced, I was bound not to repeat my first mistake... not basing my marriage on the foundation of God, the one who taught us the ultimate lesson of love! It paid off tenfold. My current wife couldn't be happier and we know that God is centered in our relationhship. I've had many a discussion with people who claim there is no God. I ask how could they know? They respond that there's no proof or that He's never done anything for them. I use the simplest thing in the world to witness at that point... my personal testimony! But to simplify scripture, He comes to those who only need to ask of Him, in His name. If a non-believer calls out to God, it's to debunk His existence. That's not calling to Him in His name. You have to be on your knees, calling out to Him, with a sincere and open heart. And the single biggest point to remember is that He answers in HIS time, not yours. His timing is perfect and always when it's supposed to be. It's tough to see that if you don't believe. But to those who say there's no proof He exists... there's also no proof that He doesn't. Beat that answer!

Lauren, Dominic Wow Judges With Intense Performance on 'SYTYCD' (VIDEO) {AOL TV}

Jun 24th 2010 1:12PM It's appalling when people are so one-sided and can't see the end of theie noses depsite their purposefully offensive comments. As with all forms of personal expression, who are we to say that it is or isn't dance? Any outlet that allows you to be who you are and express yourself should never be criticized. I was a music major in college... I can't stand metal and rap, but I don't criticize them and their art. I merely choose to not listen. I suggest you folks who have such a short-sighted opinion of dancing should do the same and take your opinions to another channel each Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Jun 24th 2010 1:02PM Toughcritic... so dance to you is only ballroom and ballet? Talk about a crock. I can't dance a lick myself, but that doesn't mean you can't appreciate it for what it is, and what each dance puts into their performances. You have a very narrow-minded opinion of what the definition of dance is. But in the end, it is your opinion. If you think you can do it better, I want to see you next season!

I Spent $3,000 to Save My Dog - and I'd Do It Again {Pawnation OLD}

Jun 23rd 2010 12:21PM I had to make a similar decision once, with my very sick Shar-Pei. We ultimately had to put her down... for monitary reasons, but mainly because the vet couldn't give good enough odds of surviving even if we could afford the treatment. She had been having what we thought were allergic reactions to bug bites. After almost $2000 in emergency vet and our regular vet visits over a couple of months, she go to a point where her eyes were swollen shut and he snout had gotten so large I had to hand feed her everything because she couldn't fit it in even our largest bowl... it was horrible watching this. Our vet had a suspicion of what it was, but this was the week of 9/11 and his colleagues were in NYC... so he couldn't get through. After he finally was able to consult with someone, it was decided she had amyloidosis. It's almost like the opposite of HIV... her immune system had gone into overdrive and was overproducing proteins in her blood. This caused the proteins to become inert material in her organs, causing the allergic reaction and white blood cells to go berzerk. I asked him not to BS me and asked what her chances were... he said he doubted if we even had a 30% chance of saving her. I told him I never doubted his ability, but that just wasn't good enough odds to undertake such a venture and we had her put down. I still feel very torn... did we do the right thing? Did I let her down? Or did I do the one, best thing I could have? We had her cremated and she is in an urn on a bookshelf. Perhaps it's my way of telling her that I couldn't fix her in life, but I'll always take care of her remains. Pets strangely become like our own children and this ripped me to shreds for weeks. I tear up even now. It was like having to decide which one of my children gets to live and which one dies. If I had all the money in the world, the odds were still not good enough to merit trying. I don't think it would have been fair to her.
