Bikes Under $150 for the Whole Family {Shopping Articles Blog}
May 10th 2011 4:23PM 22 years car free and 10 years of racing and i have had two accidents neither serious injury.
if you put crap chinese parts on your car, replaced your brakes with a pratcial joke from china for instance, you would not say driving is dangerous. you woudl say bullshit equipment is dangerous. no one should ride a $150 bike with brakes that dont work and no one should put a chinese basket that falls into the front wheel on either. if you ride a real bike and maintain it properly, equipment failure is not going to be a source of injury. if you ride a $150 bike, you are reasonably likely to get hurt. you probably dont want to ride a $150 car either. my first and only car cost $100 and it was about as safe as you might expect to be for spending $100.
bike riding is safer than driving a car per mile safer than basketball for serious injury per hour. lots of permanently blown out knees.
what sport is safer than bicycling? table tennis? foosball? yes. sandlot baseball, football, basketball, hockey? no. running. probably not. lots of lifetime injuries.
swimming. yes.
Top 10 types of travel theft (and how to be safe) {Gadling}
Apr 13th 2011 1:13PM Traveling to Jaco Costa Rica you don't have to worry much about these kind of hustles. There is some theft in Costa Rica, but it is mostly of the opportunistic variety. If you leave valuables unattended, you find that all of Costa Rica is the "historic district" because your stuff will be history. So the bus advice is relevant - keep your stuff on you if you can if you take the bus. But you won't be robbed by monkeys or have vinegar thrown on you. If you rent a car, dont assume you can leave valuable things in the car and find them there when you return unless it is parked in a guarded lot. If you stay in cheaper hotels, there are occasional room robberies where rooms are not secured and there are no guards. The nicer hotels have fences and guards and guarded parking lots. You can check out a list of hotels in Jaco Costa Rica here: http://www.docelunas.com/jaco-hotels.html
The Meek Shall Inherit a High Performance Review {AOL Jobs}
Mar 6th 2011 10:05AM Underpromise and over deliver. That is the best policy! Definitely nobody likes an employee who takes credit for more than they have contributed and who does not acknowledge or tries to hide their errors. Nice insight. So I am humble. Where is my raise?
St. Kitts and Nevis - The Best Islands for Decompressing {AOL Travel News}
Feb 19th 2011 12:16PM St Kitts and Nevis are nice, but Costa Rica is nicer. Jaco Costa Rica in particular is a great place for decompressing. The best place in Jaco to stay does not require a splurge. Four star hotel DoceLunas is priced lower than some three star hotels in the area. You can chek out the best Jaco hotel: http://www.docelunas.com

5 German drinking destinations other than Oktoberfest {Gadling}
Feb 5th 2011 9:38AM It is a long way from Bamberg and Hessen, but it is quite a drinking destination besides Octoberfest, and Germans are totally welcome: Palmares Fair in Costa Rica, just a couple thousand miles west and south of Germany, is the third largest drinking party after Octoberfest and the Calgary Stampede. Come check it out in January next year. Palmares Costa Rica is about an hour from Jaco Costa Rica, where you can find the best Jaco hotel: http://www.docelunas.com

Ryan Phillippe Selling Los Angeles Home {Shelterpop}
Dec 7th 2010 5:18PM Now I see ! The house reminds me of an hote in Jaco called http://www.DoceLunas.com. This Jaco hotel has a similar zen minimalism. It also has five acres of landscaped gardens and its way less than $7 million. Maybe a hotel stay in Jaco Costa Rica would have been better for Ryan and Reese than their hollywood home.
