Three Fake Pilots Found Flying Airlines With Invalid Licenses {AOL Travel News}

Mar 10th 2011 6:55PM Actually, you don't need an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) license to fly aircraft that big...a commercial license is good enough EXCEPT when flying for an airline. You can even fly aircraft of that type with just a private pilots license with the correct type rating: ... turbine .. instrument..etc.
The article didn't say what license the three pilots from India had...just that they didn't have an ATP license!
Fly-by-wire has nothing to do with piloting skills...it just basically means the yoke and rudder pedals are not linked mechanically to the control services but are connected electrically to servos which translate your control inputs to the control surfaces...it doesn't correct for mistakes!!!

Artist Builds Backyard Survival Shelter, Homemade Shotgun Robot {Asylum}

Sep 4th 2010 12:53AM Two problems with his shotgun...first problem...the string holding it to the stock is only going to last for one shot...if he's lucky. If he's not lucky he's going to have that pipe embedded in his skull. Recoil is going to shoot that barrel backwards right out from underneath the string. Securing the barrel that way is insane!!!!!!!
Second problem...he's going to have an appointment very soon with his local BATFE agent because shotgun barrels must be a minimum of 18 inches long...his doesn't look like it is. Unless he applied for the special tax stamp through the BATFE for a short-barrelled shotgun and paid the fee he has committed a felony!!!!

Pampers Dry Max causing rashes and burns, parents allege {WalletPop}

"When I tried to work with Pampers to figure out what it was that my son was allergic to (our doctor wanted to work with them on it), we were told it was a proprietary information (in other words, a secret) and they would not help us at all..."

Katy...under Federal law or OSHA, trade secrets concerning ingredients of a product suspected to have a health issue and such, have to be revealed to a patients doctor requesting them.

A Snapshot of Photo Print Deals -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}

Apr 15th 2010 8:50PM Karen obviously has issues!!!! LOL
What does a college degree have to do with this post?? How do you know who has a criminal record and who doesn't? What does trade school have to do with anything? I went to trade school...Aviation Technology... and had a rewarding career with a major airline making excellent money.
A collge degree is not a measure of intelligence nor success!
The rest of that ranting suggests you have an inferiority complex or low self esteem issues...you might want to seek help with that.
Perhaps with your collge degree and only working on Ebay is not where you think your degree should have taken you in life??
That anger is only going to work inward and cause you much grief and depression.
Be happy! :o)

A Snapshot of Photo Print Deals -- Savings Experiment {WalletPop}

Apr 15th 2010 5:50PM Generic inks are much cheaper like Brittany said and are just as good as most of the big brand names. They are colorfast and will last many years as long as you keep the prints out of strong light and pollutants. Printing your own is just as good as any photo store and better because you have full control over the process. I was a commercial photographer and printer for B&W and also did the old C22 and C41 color processing of color film and prints and as long as the original photo is sharp and clear the print will be also, whether it's done on an automated system or your home printer.
Generic inks are all I use anymore for my photographs!!!!!

Girl, 12, Taken Away in Handcuffs for Doodling on Her Desk; Dept. of Ed. Admits To Excessive Punishment {ParentDish}

Perhaps you should read the article again...she is not "currently suspended"!
"Even though she is no longer suspended,..." is what it says!
And what platoon would that have been you are spouting about??
I was a police officer for a number of years and you do NOT put handcuffs on a minor for actions such as these.
The whole incident was handled poorly!!!!!

First-Grade Teacher Cuts Off Student's Braid {ParentDish}

Dec 15th 2009 8:49PM For those of you who feel this is not a police matter I have news for you...it IS a police matter! I was a Peace Officer for years and this comes under the heading of assault on a minor (depending on where you live).
No one has the right to touch a child in that manner except for a parent or guardian unless they have permission to do so...period!
Just because a child is playing with their hair is no excuse to punish and humiliate them.
I had a case somewhat similar many years ago when a young boy was playing with his radio controlled model boat he built, in a pool where he was invited to swim and play in. A woman who lived in the complex didn't like it and tried to have him thrown out...when that didn't work she went over and sank the boat...destroying the electronic equipment inside. I responded to the police call...interviewed the 4th grader and his mother,...interviewed the female suspect.. filed the report which was handed over to the detective division. The woman that sank the boat was arrested...fined...and served 15 days in jail for destruction of private property valued over $250! All because she didn't like that a child from another neighborhood was playing in "her" community pool!
People need to think long and hard before they act out of anger or frustration!!!!!

Supreme Court Won't Review Obama's POTUS Eligibility, Birth Certificate {Politics Daily}

" Mr. Berg, a amn who knows you can't obtain an original birth certificate, and who is probably one of the few Americans who can actually find the original his parents were given. I have no idea where mine is, DO YOU?"

You bet I know where mine are...one is the ORIGINAL from the hospital and the other is from the CITY HALL where I was born and keep them in a safe. Only irresponsible people don't have their birth certificates!!!!
