Shocking: Britney's Real Hair {Stylelist}
Aug 21st 2007 5:45PM To Jo: She chose to be a singer and performer and therefore the publicity comes with the territory. It's not like she's the first "pop sensation" to ever be... she knew what it meant to become famous. I don't think they should be scrutinized every moment they walk out of their house or have paparazzi snapping shots of them in their backyard or in their underwear having a coffee in the kitchen... everyone deserves privacy in their homes but any one of us can be subject to a photograph while out on the streets, famous or not. We all do stupid things on occasion but I have no sympathy for someone who goes out KNOWING there will be photos of them getting out of a car and flashing a beaver shot to everyone who sees her get out. It's low-class and it sends a message to her sons that women are objects and she in particular, a whore. Sorry, but I was raised that you don't leave the house without underwear on. Filthy! You reap what you soe...

Jul 29th 2007 11:26PM Tearsa D. White and others who claim that ADHD is NOT a valid medical issue have absolutely no idea what it is or how it affects a child. Do some actual research on the subject before you open your gob and come off sounding so ignorant. I hope you don't get "saddled" wtih a kid that has it, they'd obviously suffer more than is necessary with someone like you parenting them and refusing to get them the help they need. For the record, most kids with ADHD are reported to have higher than average IQ's. Parents with children with ADHD tend to have to micromanage their child so that they can get through their day successfully, and I can tell you that in no way are we too lazy or disinterested in our kids. There's no way to ignore a child with ADHD, they are everywhere at once and you need to watch them all the time. My son had a tremendously frustrating time in school before he was on medication (and it took us a few years to finally decide to put him on something) but it has helped him focus and his grades shot up to where they should be and he felt more confident in himself because he wasn't missing half of what the teachers said because his mind was jumping all over the place, overstimulated or distracted by something as little as someone tapping their pencil 3 chairs over.

What's Slower -- Baseball or Soccer? {News Bloggers}
Jun 26th 2007 2:58PM Baseball has to be the slowest sport out there next to golf. What strategy is used? You run around a bunch of bases. I can see maybe the pitcher has some when they throw the ball, but that's pretty much where it ends in my book.
Soccer is loaded with strategy, it's fast paced and very tense. If you have personal stock in a team, you are very emotionally involved in it. After 8 years of watching my son play and part of that at the state level, you need to respect a kid that can run at nearly top speed for 75 to 90 minutes with only a short break in between. At 90 pounds he's up against kids 40 pounds heavier than him and holds his own quite successfully.
It's a very physical, mentally intense game that tests your endurance, will power, strength and logic. You have to anticipate your opponent's next move and be able to run full tilt while also controlling a ball with your feet and keeping someone else off of it while they're trying to trip, slide, steal and attack at every angle.
Why should you make a goal larger? Where's the skill and talent in being able to kick a ball into a massive goal? Any stopping and starting in soccer is based on violations by being off sides, fouls or dangerous play. It's up there with rugby in aggression and anyone who actually learns the game will no doubt fall in love with it like everyone else in many other countries globally!
I just don't see the thrill of Baseball at all. Maybe if more of us Americans ran our butts off on the soccer fields like all these other countries some of you are insulting, we wouldn't have such an obesity problem here. Baseball is full of a lot of chunky guys standing around arguing and Football is tons of stopping and starting too.
Can too much testosterone make you dumb? {That's Fit}
Oct 4th 2006 11:43PM To "The Myth":
I don't think anyone on welfare is living a "carefree life", they don't get enough $$ to come even CLOSE to carefree. That myth about "they keep popping out kids so they can get more money" is b.s. too because you get a set amount of money for 1 child and each additional child only increases your allowance by about 93.00 a month. So a single mom and child on state aid in MA only get $395.00 a month. If she had another child, it only goes up to $487.00 and any single mom with 2 kids knows that you can't live carefree on that kind of money. It's not worth becoming a baby-making machine like you're insinuating They're also required to put their child in daycare by a certain age and get a job to supplement their assistance, even if they're working for "free", ie volunteer work. Not everyone is ripping off the system lying around on their arse eating bon bons... they can't afford it!
Along that stream of your consciousness of "people to bash", why don't you add to your list all the fathers that get these women pregnant and then refuse to acknowledge their children and/or refuse to support them- costing their respective states millions of dollars every year trying to track them down on behalf of the mothers on welfare who for the most part, just want to give their children a drama-free normal childhood. But that's hard too because with only $150.00 a year for a clothing allowance, they'll be picked on in school, and come home to bare bones poverty. It can be a bleak and disheartening cycle.
On another note, no one mentioned that men with higher levels of testosterone are more prone to thinning hair/balding as well as higher libido and a higher risk of heart disease.

Aug 7th 2006 2:47PM The last time I used one, it wasn't waterproof. Maybe they should concentrate on a wax or plastic inner lining so as not to soak the other passengers on your way to the bathroom or stewardess to toss it. Fortunately for me (and others around me!), the one and only time I ever got sick on a plane and had to use one, I was already in the bathroom.
