Nov 6th 2008 4:31AM Local cards are OK, but if you move around from country to country your number changes and folks dont know what number to call you on. Plus you may not use up all your credit so you end up paying more per call as you havnt used all the credit you've paid for. Loads of great info here on how to beat the networks and save loads on calls. When I was looking for a globalsim, I looked carefully at any hidden charges like connection cherges (even for non connected calls - which maxroam did) and non usage fess. After a load of reasearch and phone calls I chose geosim from a uk company http://www.globalsimcard.co.uk. Grear service and coverage and they ship world wide.
