Old man wins age discrimination suit against Irish rental car company {Gadling}

Nov 14th 2008 10:11AM Jodie and Katie-

Thanks for the enterprise tip. Zipcar is good too (21+, really convenient if you're in an urban area and don't own a car, like me).

xev-

It is more difficult now, given the economy, to justify these ageist charges to the accounting department. Personally, I don't think the charge should exist at all, no matter what the economic situation.

Old man wins age discrimination suit against Irish rental car company {Gadling}

Nov 14th 2008 9:58AM Nancy-

"Young people can be wreckless" is the exact type of ageist statement I refute. I'm 23, work for an agency in NYC and often times need a car when I travel. I'm not renting a van to go pick up kegs for a frat party. Also, since when does being 23 make me a child? I can vote, join the armed services, get married, run for office, etc. etc. I can be trusted with a gun at war, with your freedom on the line, but can't be trusted with your precious Ford Taurus? Thanks for the vote of confidence, lady.

November Iceland roadtrip: "You're an idiot" {Gadling}

Oct 29th 2008 3:48PM I'm heading to Reykjavik in December, and figured that the weather/roads/lack of sunlight would keep me confined to Reykjavik. I'm fine with that- I'm sure there's plenty to do around the city. Does anyone know if the Blue Lagoon is open at night?
