Carnie Wilson Fired From Diet Service for Eating Too Much Cheesecake? {PopEater}
Dec 1st 2010 10:32AM Really benji. You need to get out of this country(if you really are here) and go to some of these nations that aren't quite as screwed up as ours. i would really like an example of a country that is not screwed up like ours. Since our is the "most screwed up". Have you actually been to other countries? I'm thinkin NOT.
High School Opts to Drop Fs From Transcripts, Some Say That's a Serious Fail {ParentDish}
Nov 17th 2010 9:54AM The biggest problem I see in the whole article is "they get an F and move on". When a student EARNS an F, they aren't to move on. They are to be HELD BACK until they can EARN a passing grade. No?
Parent (Bleep)ing Mad Over Homework With Bad Words {ParentDish}
Nov 14th 2010 4:12AM Take the power from the words. They are only words after all. You do this by TALKING about the power of the words and why they are so powerful. Not by hiding them and keeping the taboo in place.
Faster food: A pro's 10 best tips for quick, quality restaurant service {WalletPop}
Nov 10th 2010 7:59PM I don't tip when the service is poor. I also do NOT rush my dinner part of the evening for the sake of the server to "turn over" the table. I'm payin, I'm taking the time I want to. PERIOD. I tip generously when service is good. You want to slam my food on the table and scoot me out. You won't get a tip from me. In fact I will be the one complaining to the manager about being rushed. If I'm at a "family style" or "fast food" things are different. But at a real restaurant, don't push.

Fighting for Jobs, Fighting for You: A Message From Rep. Barbara Lee, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus {BV on Money}
Oct 20th 2010 8:32PM After I read your post, something came to me...you are complaining about the "high level" positions that Obama filled.(rightly so, I may add)
Look back to the all hated GW Bush. How many African Americans did he appoint to high level positions? Condi Rice and the General (name???)You know the one that switched parties. Just for starters. If you go back to the Clinton Presidency you can find the same thing. BUT, when this was happening what were the names that these appointees were called? "sellout" "uncle tom" are some that come to mind. Why do a good number of African Americans disparage those who succeed? It certaily doesn't motivate others to do so. Does it?
Fighting for Jobs, Fighting for You: A Message From Rep. Barbara Lee, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus {BV on Money}
Oct 20th 2010 1:58PM If what your saying is true(it isn't, what a surprise) You may have an argument.
How is it that republicans held up legislation? For the past 2 years the Democrats have held a "super majority". What this means is that the Republicans couldn't possibly hold up ANY legislation brought out by Congress. They didn't have the numbers to do so. Think about it. How can this representative state these things with a straight face? Or maybe she is counting on the ignorance of her constituents to get the "emotional" response.
These are the same tried and true methods used by the Democrats to keep the masses in their places. The more they "give" you the more you don't need to get for yourself. Do you REALLY need all this to grow and prosper? African Americans by nature have overcome many obstacles in this country. Despite having little if any help from the "mainstream". Why is it so ingrained in this culture that your not capable of personal progression? Is it because Republicans are saying you have the capacity to do whatever you put forth the effort to accoplish? Or is it the Democrats saying that you have the capacity, only if we help you because you cannot do it without our help?
I know many black folks. Successful people that set aside their perceived differences and worked hard to attain success. Some have succeeded beyond their wildest imagination, some haven't. This is no different than any other race of people in this country. Some succeed and some fail. It is human nature. We must learn from our failures and not make the same mistakes. Only then can we succeed. The government can't make you a success. They can only make you dependant.
President Barack Obama to Appear on 'Mythbusters' {PopEater}
Oct 19th 2010 11:04AM Michael gifford, you are obviously not real familiar with the Tea Party "ilk". Or what it is we want from government. (mainly less) Why don't you do a little reading instead of watching the "mainstream" media.

Oct 15th 2010 10:09AM I have a question and a statement.
If the majority of Muslims are "peace loving" and "moderate", out of a possible 1.5 BILLION (approximate) Muslims in the world why do we not hear condemnation of the radical Muslim mindset by more than just a few?
Not one person(that I know of) has asked if the "Islamic Center/Mosque" was planned at this site before the 9/11 attack. If it was, I have no problem with them building it there. if it wasn't, then me thinks there is something rotten in the apple cart.
