Feb 6th 2010 3:54PM I have to admit I wish it was a little colder here so I could wear one, I live in Florida. The home of 70 degree winters!! ughhhh!! I was in NY earlier this year though and I tried some of Northface's coats.. they were extremely warm... I would assume these would be the same.

Hugging Banned at Connecticut Middle School {ParentDish}

I actually went to a private Catholic school as a kid, and touching was banned there too (very ironic considering all the controversy in the Catholic church these days, no?!). No one could hug or anything, even if it was innocent... I found it a bit much too, but I wonder if anyone would really stand up to question it, you know?

I absolutely love animals and would never endorse killing them in the name of sport or fashion, but aside from the fact that this is exactly what the designer does, they're gorgeous shoes!
Gorgeous in a tacky sort of "they're-nice-to-look-at-but-I'd-never-wear-them" kind of way, haha.

Warning signs Madoff investors ignored {Daily Finance}
Mar 12th 2009 3:46PM I know in retrospect it's easy for a lot of people to say how dumb these investors were for trusting this man and everything... But to be honest, I don't think I would have known any better either.
It's so easy to get involved with people like this. Feeling swept away by all the great promises... I feel so so sorry for every victim involved, and I hope they are compensated in some way for their losses.

Breastfeeding - How Long is Too Long? {ParentDish}
Mar 1st 2009 9:28PM Absolutely! I don't have children myself (not yet anyway), but I can't imagine that there's an age limit on breastfeeding. As long as the mother and child are comfortable, I don't see the problem.
Again, I can't speak from experience, but 7-years-old does sound like it could be weird to continue breastfeeding. Maybe not if that's what they're both used to, but who am I to judge, right?
