Jan 30th 2010 6:58AM It's about time...It's true. too many people in such a small area. I'm almost positive the ganster a-holes who tried to do a drive-by durring the display last year is the nail in the coffin to why Chicago lost the bid to the 2016 olympics to Rio. 2016 would have been interesting in Chicago, but God help whoever decides to actually go to Rio in 2016 to see the olympics! Hope you'r packing more than a pistol there! Navy Pier has done a fireworks show the same day for the past few years and even though was 10 min shorter than the city's, you can see the same show every wed and sat night all summer long without the big crowd. No major loss to the city, and I bet the tourists wouldn't even notice the transition.

Let's give awards away out of pitty....you have a guy who we disowned because of his little boy habbit, but he's dead now, so let's give him what we think he deserves.......and Taylor Swift....ok she is good, but not that good. Way to go America. The MTV awards was a total bait and switch. Her manager sold his soul to the devil the same day we decided to give MJ awards just after he died. Kieth Ledger all over again!

Nov 17th 2009 2:07AM So McCain want's to get rid of the Union Contracts and bring in cheap labor.....let's just hand this country on over to the immigrants. Hundreds and thousands of hard working men died during the great depression, fighting people like McCain to gain the Unions we have today. If this country doesn't fight like our ancestors did, you can kiss this country good by. We're loosing our houses because the banks got greedy and handed loans to immigrants who just abandoned this country and left us to flip the bill when the work dried up. Good idea McCain, bring them back. Everything I buy from China falls apart, you pay for what you get. Let's replace the Unions with cheap labor, and we'll be driving our cars like the Flinstones, because the thing will fall apart before you pull out of the lot. American cars are doing great in Asia right now. It's not about the Unions, it's about giving the people a kind of car they want to drive, and they will pay whatever price you ask. Look at the boneheads who buy Hummers and Escilades.

Aug 19th 2009 12:04AM I work for a contractor who builds new Panera stores....the whole pitch for Panera is that you will turn out a complete profit in less than a year and a half.....it's true. Within a year and a half, the debts will be completely paid off, and the owner will be making a profit of no less than half a million a year afterwards. If the banks weren't so tight with their money right now, I'd have a Panera store of my own. I talked with a owner who tried his luck with a Chipotle, but he said the royalties you have to pay Mc Donalds is unbelieveable. He said he would only make a profit of about 100k at the end of the day, and his debts weren't paid off for 5 yrs. You wouldn't believe the bank L.L. Bean is making as well....just making the fat cats fatter, that's all.

Apr 10th 2009 9:42PM When the old lady and I first bought our house, I told her all I want is free range of the garage and basement. I don't really have a name for it, but is a nice getaway when she's PMS-ing. The basement has a ski-ball machine, a driving arcade game, killer stereo system along with the 65" tv with the wii and karaoke of course, along with the fully stocked bar with the kegerator tap on the wall, with a coin-pusher game, crain game, and mini pac-man arcade on the bar, with just about every plug in thing Spencers has sold in the last 10 years. The best invention of them all is the hot dog roller. For Poker night, all I ask is the big winner contribute to the keg fund and the hot dogs and beer pays for itself, could life get any better?
