Exploring the Mekong River {Gadling}
Nov 8th 2009 2:32PM I recently spent a few days in the Mekong river. It is fascinating, but tourism in SE Asia is everywhere and i believe that going with a few more days to spare around the villages is very compensating. Even the traditional tours arranged through some agencies can be very good and an interesting way to see how vital are the waterways in any country.
Great article, btw.
Dim Sum Dialogues in Thailand: Ko Samui {Gadling}
Sep 29th 2009 5:45PM I enjoyed samui as well, especially the scooter drive around the island and Chaweng beach is, despite all the infrastructures, still the most beautiful beach to spend the day. But , with no doubt, i would chose Ko Tao for a weeklong vacation - less tourism, fewer people around, best snorkelling ever and quiet enough to enjoy beach walks.
Good article ;)

American tourists return stolen Colloseum rock after 25 years {Gadling}
May 29th 2009 8:38PM It's not a new idea that of returning pieces by mail. A stone taken from Ephesus, Turkey, was sent back to te city museum and has the letter dispaying with the slogan "Each rose in it's garden, each stone in it's city". Nice to know people are getting more conscoius.
Life Nomadic: Coping With a Travel Disaster {Gadling}
May 6th 2009 11:28AM Good thing when problems seem to solve for the best in such a fun way. A few weeks ago I was taking a plane back to Portugal and was told at the airport that the company had filed for bankrupcy - no flights and a huge problem. All I was able to do was laugh and try to figure out how I could get out of Lithuania, but wasn´t so lucky as you.

Sad trombone sound to reflect your worst travel moments {Gadling}
Feb 25th 2009 11:20AM It really does. I almost heard one when I went to my car to get something, closed the front door as I left the house, with the key in my hand - so I thought. When I went back to the house to get my backpack and documents to head to the airport on my way to Turkey, realised that I had taken a pen instead of the keys and was outside with all my stuff locked inside....
