May 1st 2010 8:49AM WOW! And I thought that Cathay's Business class was amazing. We had the luck of being on the upper deck of a 747 to Hong Kong and it was the best flying experience ever. The food was as good (if not better) than any restaurant I have eaten in. I had some dim sum for breakfast that was absolutely wonderful. Next time, first class. Great article.
Mar 26th 2010 11:51AM I had a great bag experience in Singapore last month. Cathay Pacific knew that one of our bags was delayed before we even landed. When we got off the plane, there was a gate attendant with our name looking for us. She told us that our bag was delayed, got the name and address of our hotel in Singapore and guaranteed the bag before 6:00 pm that evening. Now that's service.
Dec 27th 2009 9:51PM How long will these asinine rules last? And what will they accomplish? Here's some smarter ideas. How about banning anyone who is not a US citizen who has been in Yemen in the last two years from flying into the US? How about if someone is able to get through security at any foreign airport we immediately deny any planes from that airport from landing in the US for like, I don't know, two years? I bet know one gets through then.
And do they really think this moron on Christmas waited until the plane was almost landing so he could blow it up? He was just scared and trying to wait as long as he could to kill himself. He wanted to be caught. He didn't want to die. If he really wanted to kill the maximum people he would have blown himself up over the middle of the Atlantic.
I encourage everyone who reads this to write their congressman and Senators to encourage them to pull in the reins of Homeland Security and the TSA. Stop the knee jerk reactions.
