The Horse Project in Portland, Oregon {Gadling}
Sep 18th 2008 8:46PM Dray horses were used in downtown Portland as late as 1934 to haul freight from the water front to uptown addresses. As a boy I remember these sights. The teams and their wagons were a haZard for moor traffic and we tended to bypass the sections of town that the teams were used in.
