A Message From the AOL.com Team {Portalblog}

Dec 21st 2012 7:42AM My concern is where will it stop? Today they ban one type of weapon, tomorrow they decide to ban another, then another. Sooner or later, if some have their way, the 2nd admendment will be a thing of the past. Maybe the best way to handle is to mandate a good background check and keep weaponns out of the wrong hands. You will never be 100% sure that this won't happen again, thre are a lot of crazies out there. When I was young one of the things about all boys and many girls did was learn to fire and respect a weapon. That has been lacking for a long time.

Woman Nearly Loses Home Over Unpaid Tax Bill That Wasn't Hers {AOL Real Estate}

Jul 3rd 2012 1:31PM Could have all been avoided if she had taken the bill back to the tax office, a simple check of the records would have shown it was an error and would have been straightened out in 1994. Shouldn't have happened, but there is human error that always raises it's head in the most unexpected ways.

Ronald McDonald Returns to Commercials {Slashfood}

Apr 4th 2011 9:42PM As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter what character is advertising, the parent still is the one who has to determine if the child is going to be able to get the food. When my kids were young we took them to Mc Donalds but not all the time, what ever happened to the adult being in control. Always thought that adults were the ones who made the rules.

Opinion: What's Up With All These Out-of-Control, Bullying Parents? {ParentDish}

Feb 24th 2011 8:15PM I think that much of the problem comes from these so called "experts" the only thing they have done is empower the kids. These days every child knows that all they have to do is call 911 and their parents are in trouble. More times than not there is nothing wrong with disipline, and there is a big difference between disipline and abuse. If the "experts" and busy bodies would stay out of it we whould have fewer problems.

'House' Star Lisa Edelstein Stars in Controversial 'Right to Choose' Ad {PopEater}

Feb 16th 2011 6:57AM I don't think that anyone is saying that the GOP is responsible for ones actions, but they are looking to get involved in an area that government has no buisness going. All the ad is saying is that if the GOP is successful it will send women back into the back rooms for a risky abortion, it will not stop abortions. It will just put more women at risk of injury or death.

Oklahoma Official Questions Hiring Pregnant Woman {ParentDish}

Jan 28th 2011 3:37PM I guess that depends on what she did while she was in her own home, did she still continue to review all the required work that she would have if she had been elsewhere? Was her work pushed onto someone else or was she able to handle it in a professional manner. As a manager I have had pregnant women working for me and have found them to be able to preform there duties very well, aside from the obvious that they take some time off to give birth and recharge they are as good or better than any other worker.

Bristol Palin Has a New Boyfriend, Wants Levi to Sign Over His Parental Rights {PopEater}

Jan 25th 2011 1:13PM I don't think I'm either a Palin supporter nor a hater, but I do find it strange that this young lady gets such a response from readers. If you aren't ready to view her with an open mind then why do you bother to read the article? If she is able to find a career in radio more power to her, there are many who are in that field that shouldn't be, so that means nothing and maybe she will find her nitch.
Bottom line, leave her alone, what she does is none of your business, and she will either suceed or fail on her own.

Octogenarians Fined $12,000 Over Cat {Pawnation OLD}

Jan 8th 2011 8:38AM Florida condo and home owners associations have been out of controll for years. Between them trying to stop people from flying the American Flag and all the other stories I've read over the years it's obvious that that most of them are on a power trip. I ride a motorcycle so one of the first things I have asked when I'm looking at a place is if bikes are allowed. I've been told sure, no problem or been told that they don't allow motorcycles but the strangest reply that I got was "We allow you to have one, but you can't ride it in the development, you will have to push it to the front gate before you start it up and ride"
Most of the associations problem is a complete lack of common sense.

NOW Sues Hooters {Lemondrop}

Dec 22nd 2010 10:19AM I'm amazed at the comments here, my grandson (age 7) was asked where he wanted to go for his birthday dinner, his answer was Hooters. The waitress was fantastic, she got him a balloon and had her picture taken with him, it made his day. These young ladies are doing an honest days work for their pay and should be given the respect that they deserve.
As stated before you see more skin on your TV and on the beach in the summer or at any swimming pool. In fact I have seen more skin shown by young girls walking around the mall.
NOW is looking for press time and the media have given them what they wanted.

Playgirl: Sarah Palin's Criticism of Levi 'Absurd' {PopEater}

Nov 18th 2010 2:31PM you know the last time I checked it took two to make a baby, are you saying he wasn't there or didn't want to be involved in the process. seems to me that either or both should have been using some sort of protection. remember the old saying - If you want to play, you have to pay. and in this case the paying will be for the next 18 years.
