Review: 30 Rock - Into The Crevasse {TV Squad}

Oct 23rd 2009 11:04AM When I was about 13, maybe 1959, I went to a demonstration at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. They had a bank of instruments and did really sciency sorts of things, but the finale was the basket of popcorn kernels they brought onstage and zapped into popcorn. I probably got about 20 lifetimes of microwaves that day.

So anyway, real microwaves for the kitchen were well into the 'sixties.

Review: Parks and Recreation - Kaboom {TV Squad}

Oct 23rd 2009 10:55AM One of the best of the season. Aziz wasn't around much but he had the best line - paraphrasing - "I have two doing caps in my wallet."

TV Squad Ten: My favorite HBO shows {TV Squad}

Sep 30th 2009 9:09AM Deadwood - one of the greatest shows ever.

Biggest crime - David Milch ditching Deadwood to do John from Cincinnati.

Glee: Showmance {TV Squad}

Sep 10th 2009 11:03AM Overall I enjoy the show. Two things grate - the wife is just a dimwit, too much so.

Also, I am decades out of high school and so are my kids, but most faculty at any school I've ever been around would have stopped that performance in mid-note and seriously considered major punishment.

As they say, "What's next? The Andes plane crash cookbook?"

The dirtiest bottled water commercial you'll ever see {TV Squad}

Jul 23rd 2009 1:57PM Two things -

1. Did they have that kind of twist-off top in 1976?

2. Something even funnier was the old National Lampoon ad from about that same time: Terrier - from deep in the heart of a dog.

Is ER going to kill off John Carter too? {TV Squad}

Feb 20th 2009 5:14PM It's that smarmy announcer that does the voiceover promos ...

Next week, on a very special ER ... (sniff)

Grey's Anatomy: An Honest Mistake {TV Squad}

Feb 20th 2009 5:08PM I'm here for you.

24: 12:00PM - 1:00PM {TV Squad}

Jan 21st 2009 3:44PM Nothing to do with the show, but I watched it on Fox online, and if I see that woman mention a cat named Louie to the audience again I can't be responsible for my actions.

A 'Rome' Movie? Hail, Caesar! {Cinematical}

Dec 3rd 2008 4:11PM As I recall, the sets burned or flooded or something. Coming up with replacements would be a stretch.
