Nov 4th 2011 1:43PM Here is what St. Vincent de Paul had to say in regards to the US Flag issue with Mr. Zivica.
St. Vincent de Paul Response to News Story
St. Vincent de Paul has received a lot of attention today regarding a tenant who was asked to stop hanging a flag from the side of the apartment complex without permission. We would like to share the following updated information.
This morning our tenant agreed to provide a list of dates when he would like to fly his flag. St. Vincent de Paul granted him permission to fly the flag on those dates, provided it is done in a manner that's respectful to the flag and our other tenants. In accordance with the rules of the complex, St. Vincent de Paul will be happy to grant permission to put an addtional American flag at the complex if tenants inform us in advance.
Our tenant feels this issue is resolved, and we are pleased to have reached a resolution to this issue.
Nov 1st 2011 7:35PM I have to agree with you. The first time I seen her was when I was 10 years old, in the theater watching "West Side Story". Such a moving story, which she protrayed extremely well. I've loved her as a person ever since. One classy Lady.
Oct 25th 2011 12:30PM I'm only in my fifties, but grew up in Upstate NY around Route 66. I enjoy that route to this day, whenever I get the chance to drive it. It's historical, and sad that everything people worked hard for, has been left to deteriorate. I wish I had the means to help preserve our history. In those days, people worked hard, but I would love to have been a part of that history. Things seem to have been a whole lot better back then. To turn back the hands of time, if only one could.
Thank you for sharing. I wish the younger generation could appreciate it, as much as we do.
