Mexico's safest destinations {Gadling}

Jan 23rd 2012 12:55AM The tourist areas in the Yucatan Peninsula, which are beautiful and safe, are about 3000 miles away from the violence. Would you cancel a trip to Atlanta or Miami because there are murders associated with gangs and drugs in L.A.? That would be the same logic. I have been down there twice in the last year and I'm going back in the spring and I felt safer there than on most downtown streets in America, to be honest. They've only had a handful of murders in Cancun in the last several years, and the only one involving a tourist was the one where her famous husband killed her. I don't think any of our cities of 1 million people in the U.S. can say that.

Lipstick on a Pig {Politics Daily}

Sep 10th 2008 2:56PM Here we go with the over-sensitivity again just because she's a woman (and I am, too, BTW). I looked at his comment as something similar to "walks like a duck, talks like a duck. . . " or grabbing it out of the air like "when pigs fly". Why is not more being made of the fact that Snarky Sarah inferred during the convention in her speech to "those who have endured lesser adversity" than John McCain's stint as a POW, which was a veiled reference to Joe Biden, who lost his wife and daughter in a wreck, for pity's sake?!!! Does the fact that she's a woman make her bulletproof from taking criticism or being questioned? I sincerely hope not; she's proven she's tough. She needs to be called out on HER comments just like everyone else.
