Apr 8th 2007 2:59PM At low alt cell phones work just fine. I know there are a lot of people you just can't talk quietly. But when I'm stuck at 5,000 feet in a holding pattern it's a time saver or life saver for that matter.

Mar 8th 2007 7:15AM Roger is just about all that is left of the old radio speak. What is funny is that "Out" is now a favorite of my young son and his AIM friends on line.
Speaking of funny Marine radio freqs are often without the formality of Air VHF for many reasons. Though the US Coast Guard will often chastise those who are abusing hailing and emergency channel 16.
Such was the case one day when someone elected to "test" his marine radio by blowing into the mike. The "phoof phoof" was promptly replied to with "oink oink". Soon there after "cluck cluck, hew haw and a very faith "moooo" joined the chorus of animal sounds.
After a short break the "Oink Oink" returned and the pattern was repeted now joined by a crow's "caw caw" and what could only be described love sick and really out of tune elephant.
After a few more rounds of animal sounds the Coast Guard intervened with "This is United States Coast Guard Sector Charleston will the Barn Yard Animals please take their conversation to a working channel.
The only reply was: "Roger That, Barn Yard Out"

Lloyds of London sources disclosed Friday that they have contacted various clients regarding American Football star Michael Vick and have demanded additional premium dollars to continue “adverse action” insurance coverage regarding Mr. Vick.
All major corporations insure their choices of spokesperson. Lloyds paid millions to Hertz years ago to cover losses Hertz incurred by having O. J. Simpson as a paid endorser.
Titlist pays mininal amounts to Lloyds regarding Tiger Woods, while Lloyds sources would not disclose the amounts AirTran pays to insure their company against adverse actions of Mr. Vick the amount is reported to have increased by as much as 1000 percent.
Mr. Vick and the Atlanta Falcons did not return repeated calls for comment on the Lloyds statement.
The guy has got to be a crackhead!
