Aug 6th 2012 11:15PM Hi! First of all, bravo on planning a couple of cities solo! I've been traveling alone for years. As to your question, in restaurants I always bring a book to read or a laptop to mess with. I find sometimes I get involved in neat conversations with strangers, but if not, I peacefully read my book. Nobody stares, that's so 1960's! ;-) Really, you can feel comfortable anywhere you want to go. I had the pleasure in Italy of having the owner set his son and daughter with me, he just couldn't stand seeing me eat alone. It was awesome, they were really neat people. Have a great trip!
Jan 25th 2011 9:28PM That's awesome. How nice that we still can get the, "find a rich husband," and, "special escorts for your evening," spam-ads in the blog sections they are supposedly censoring. I'd hate to miss one of those.
Jan 8th 2011 6:47AM The point she's making is that it's important to get past your apprehension about, "his past," and move on with making a life you share when you move into another woman's house. If you've ever had this happen, it can be sticky for the first year or two. In my case, he wouldn't admit it but he was still in love with her. It made for a very difficult relationship that ended poorly. I wound up buying the house from him (it's a neat place), then made it my own.
Sep 21st 2010 10:11PM Oh, that's nothing. I'm in my mid-forties and have worked like a dog since I was fifteen. I gave my parents a credit card "for emergencies," as money was getting a little tight for them. What did they do? They went to Vegas. By the time I figured out what was going on, I was $5K in debt. I never borrowed a nickel from them, the whole time I was growing up. They never said a word about the charges. I had to report the card stolen to cut them off, now I'm stuck paying off their, "vacations."
Jul 28th 2010 11:53PM You'd think they'd be glad to Joe. The lawsuits alone from using the lavatory to join the mile-high have to be outrageous.
Jul 13th 2010 5:40PM Here's the e-trade commercial:
I did not think of Lindsay Lohan one bit, and I was looking for it.
Jul 12th 2010 2:31PM Okay, and you, Susie, are doing exactly what? Lecturing others on their, "lack of life." Folks are simply expressing their frustration at how celebrities seem to get away with crime. Is that okay with you, or should we all aspire to possess your platinum-plated perfect heart, superior (if condescending) intellect, and keen sense of superiority and entitlement?
Jul 6th 2010 11:02AM Dang, are you hiring? You sound lika an awesome boss. You provided good insights for both the supervisor and employee.
