Win A Bottle Of Natori Perfume {Luxist}
Oct 13th 2009 10:54AM Have tried many scents over the years, for a long while wore Evening in Paris (anyone remember that?) then Chanel #5 and when my daughter went to work at Macy's I started using Obsession and a few years back found Red Door and have stuck with that and an occasional foray with Eternity but think it is time for a change and this sounds like something I would very much like and hopefully would like me. Not all perfumes like the chemistry of all people and I have tried a couple which absolutely hated my chemistry. Go figure.! Will cross fingers as soon as I have typed this.

Unregulated capitalism scares the shit out of me but what scares me more is the ignorance of most Ameruicans to this simple fact. Comedian and raconteur Bill Mahar said recently that this is a very dumb country and people's responses to the recent breakdown of capitalism's mighty structures and responses to Obama's attempts at corrections plus the ignorance expressed at the attempt to bring healthcare insurance to every American only substantiates that fact. Well one bright spot in it all is that we have a Michael Moore willing to tell it like it is and maybe if just one of the flaming idiots in this country listens something will be accomplished.

Fullum & Holt Oversized Spiral Bag Giveaway {Stylelist}
Aug 15th 2009 10:20AM Can't think of anything this wouldn't go with except, maybe, a wedding dress of full formal. I wear classic tailored clothes at my work and they are to my taste also and this would be perfect with that look.

Win This $1,500 Purse by Celeb Favorite Bag Designer Lana Marks {Stylelist}
Jul 20th 2009 11:23AM Important items in my purse are number one, my inhaler, then my passport then my debit card (I stopped using my credit cards and boy have I saved a lot of money by only buying what I had in my bank account to use, and yes I am proud of myself, try it you'll like it, that feeling of coming home from shopping knowing that you haven't racked up more debt.) Most of the rest is not vitally important just that I like having it available when I am out and about. I started carrying a purse when I was 8 years old and got my first one for that birthday. Have carried one ever since. Would feel naked without it.
Luxist Day At The Beach Prize Pack Sweepstakes {Luxist}
Jul 20th 2009 11:11AM My fondest summer memories were right after WWII when my Dad came home from the war and expanded our Victory Garden in the back yard and rented a community plot just outside of town. We spent our summers there growing lucious veggies not only for eating fresh but for the canning that would follow in September and October filling our house with smells I can still remember. Dad however loved flowers also and our yard was aglow with all the colors of the rainbow. He won a city garden prize one year for his French Lilac bush. I have never smelled a scent like it since but would sure like to. Lots of hard work but formed a bond between my Dad and I that lasted all of his life and still makes for some grand memories for me on warm summer evenings when the day has quited down and one can stroll down memory lane.
Giveaway: Win a copy of David Farley's An Irreverent Curiosity {Gadling}
Jul 14th 2009 12:41PM I'd like to find the gateway to our parallel universe and go visit it. Personally I think Jesus was the David Koresh of his time only there were more superstitious people willing to believe in his mythology than there are today. Since the first books of the New Testament was written more than 60 years after his death (that is if he really existed) it seems sensible that there was a whole lot of hyper imagination going on.
