Matthew Shepard's Mom and the Push for Gay Rights {Politics Daily}
Oct 9th 2009 11:41PM I still can't think deeply about this without crying. What Matthews family has been through, I can't even imagine. Judy Shepard is a very brave woman, and I admire her for what she does. I hope that this book helps her. R.I.P. Matthew. Thank You, Judy
Dirtiest Hotels in the United States {Gadling}
Jan 31st 2009 11:28AM The worst hotel I ever stayed at was in detroit, mi. you walked in, and the carpet was peeling in the hallways. The first room we tried had mold in the shower, and smelled as though it had never been cleaned. the second room had the lock broken off the door, the drain didnt work in the shower, and cups and bottels were stored under the bed. I refused to get under the sheets after seeing some stains on them,and brought a pillow and blanket in from the car and slept under those on top of the blankets from the hotel. The entire place smelled like someone was constantly smoking something that was not cigarettes, and when we left our clothes smelled so bad we had to put them in plastic bags until we found a laundry mat
