11 Outrageous Taxes {WalletPop}

Mar 6th 2011 8:35PM I'm curious to know what negative impact eating a bagal at the site of purchase has on society. And for that matter why gambling is considered a sin in NYC when the powers-that-be spend much of their tax revenue advertising off track betting and a slew of lotteries, or why a fine of $500. should be punitive when tax dollars are already specified for emergency civil response. The one you missed that is now being debated is the New York state wide "literacy fee" (read tax of $1.00) per admission for persons over the age of 18 to be admitted to a state funded library. I would submit it is time the administors of New York's tax dollars get their collective head out of their bloated asses and their hands out of the citizen's pockets. A 20 year old graduate 10 days out of the worst business school in the country could do a better job spending New York's tax revenues.

Somalia's Al-Shabab bans handshakes between men and women {Gadling}

Feb 17th 2011 8:09PM First off Oswald "Africa" is not a country it's a continent with over fifty coutries of which the United States contributed over $400 billion dollars in foreign aid during the past 10 years not to mention the the farm impliments and tech assistance provided by "The Alliance For Progress," or the "Lend/Lease program participated in by the very American corporations you condem. I will not even mention the contributions made by over 150 private charities; then there's Bill Gates who donated 4 billion to fight AIDS in Africa. I'm sure your mother gave you civic books to read but you probably just ate the pages.

Somalia's Al-Shabab bans handshakes between men and women {Gadling}

Feb 10th 2011 9:22PM Hey Laydeemuslim: I would be very happy to see you and all other Somali muslims like you leave my country and return to your own country where you, the warlords and other stoneage thinking zelots would surely be flogged in public for communicating with me "a man." We actually don't care about Somali people we simply would like to see the thieving warlords and pirates keep their crimes within the borders of thair own country. Socially autistic idiots like you are preverting and will eventually destory one of the most ancient, beautiful and peaceful religions on earth. Too bad for you; Satan awaits.

10 Most Bizarre (Yet Real) Job Interview Questions {AOL Jobs}

Jan 7th 2011 8:43PM When applying for a Human Resources position atan up-scale restaurant my interviewer and potential boss presented me with the following question: "If a duck-and-a-half laid an egg-and-a-half in one-hour-and-a-half how many pancakes would it take to shingle a doghouse?" I in turn asked her to enumerate the "blowme" formulatic equasion used to determine the gene splicing code for the "U-Douch" Amphritrit "Biteme" membraine" in the eye lens of a Mambo Chicken if its hair was on fire. The interview ended abruptly. She trotted out of her office like a poodle. I left knowing I had dodged another banana peel on my road to success as a short order fry cook.

Hiker's Will to Live {MyDaily}

Oct 25th 2010 8:03PM Beggin' your pardon; "Keep her wits about her in 'this' precarious situation....." (This): is a present tense pronoun used to modify adjectives and adverbs - should have used the past tense "That." Just sayin' cause it irks the hell out of me to read such facile comments which pass over the writer's weakest points of their argument. It like drives me crazy, like to the extreme, like whoa dude.

Jesse Jackson: Cavs Owner Has 'Slave Master Mentality' About LeBron James {Fanhouse NBA Blog}

Jul 11th 2010 11:46PM The only slave mentality I can find is on the part of Jessie Jackson who is, and has been for years a wanna'be slave owner living in the big house wit'da masta' telling the field hands what to do and think and when to think it and why. Can you imagine anything as simple minded and offensive to African-Americans and white people as well coming from Doctor M.L. King. The great man would roll over in his grave. Jessie does his memory and legacy a huge diservice. Jessie; pack a lunch and yor Bible, take a long walk and don't come back - your myopic rant has done to you what should have been done years ago; religate you to your proper insignificance in the struggle for equality.

U-Haul accused of attempting price-fixing with Budget {WalletPop}

Jun 11th 2010 1:06AM To amf who cared:

I seriously doubt you ever received a breakdown call from a licensed driver who ran out of gas believing it to be a mechanical problem; not in this day and age when fuel is carefully monitored due to the cost and the common sense of people who rent trucks and are highly aware of the distance they have to travel. In everyday life the first thing done when getting in your car is to check the gas. But more importantly a rental should "Never" break down for any reason and should not be put on the road without first making sure it's road worthy. I have not rented a U-haul truck since I rented a 20 Ft truck which broke down 400 miles from where it was rented and I was forced to spend the night in a motel (at my own expense) and take a greyhound bus to a small city 30 miles away to pick up aanother one (or wait another day (maybe 2) for one to be driven to the U-hal dealer where my Tuck was. With the help of a young employee I transferred my belongings to the 2nd truck and went on my way......70 miles - waited 6 hours to be towed back and given a choice of a 26ft truck at full price or another night (maybe 2) in a motel. I took the 26ft paying the differance. When I returned the truck in my destination city I fell into U-Haul hell. I was charged the rate for the 26ft truck from the point of origination - a late drop of charge (2 days over) aand some bull**** fee because the truck should have been dropped oof at some ther dealer.o add insult to thievery I was charged 25 cents a gallon more to top the gas tank off than the price of gas 2 blocks away. When I complained I was blown off with "Call corporate." Hummm, maybe I would have reached you and all my problems would have been solved? I have since rented from Penske - new clean trucks - good customer sercice - friendly civil employees and prices well below U-Haul. Too bad U-Haul didn't take advantage of "Cash For Clunkers." U-Haul is becoming irreleve in the truck rental business. Check out their stock market cap and share price.

Sen. John Cornyn, Other Republicans Want Money Back from Gov. Charlie Crist {Politics Daily}

Apr 30th 2010 12:56AM ddscorp1:

Before you begin pontificating you should actually understand what you're pontificating about. Your accusation that the statement made by leopold 1747 which began; "God I hate repigncons" was an oxymoron was wrong and misused. God and hate and Republicans are fully exclusive of one another. One can hate Republicans and also love God. An oxymoron is any sayng or figure of speech which first appears to be a juxtaposition. God hated sinners (and probably republicans as well): having tossed the money changers out of the temple in a very agitated state of mind. To best describe your adolscent uninformed rant I would not be hard pressed to say it was a result of Oxysulphies; a sulfide in the brain which robs oxygen. My advice to redemy the situation would be to deoxidize your brain with a dose of Oxycoton, move to Oxford England and raise oxen or cultivating a garden of "Ox-Lips; a very herbaceous garden flower and leave the political discours us octogenarians.
