Tenants: Stench of Death Makes St. Louis Complex 'Unlivable' {AOL Real Estate}
May 17th 2013 11:34AM The decline of the close-knit nieghborhood, and letting old folks live alone. It also comes with not interacting with neighbors, especially elderly people who don't seem to have family who visit on a regular basis. The only way to remedy that is to care enough to make the effort. Neighbors don't share phone numbers anymore, or even know their neighbors' children's names.
A Message From the AOL.com Team {Portalblog}
Dec 21st 2012 6:39AM Few changes have been made during the last 30 years, and much of the legislation enacted has been undone by court challenges, or never enacted. It will be no different this time. As soon as the shock and outrage cools down, so will the demands for change.
Oprah's Dream Interview: A Confessing O.J. Simpson {PopEater}
Jun 17th 2011 10:34AM Like everybody else, Opray has allowed the media to convict O.J., and thinks he's going to confess to her on television. Of all people, I would expect her to be more objective. What is our judicial system good for anyway? Why do we bother with judges, and trials and juries? A jury acquits a man of murder, that should be the end of it; yet the media just keeps plugging away. Why? Because that's what the public wants, and the public wants it because the media has convinced them they want it. We should just throw out the courts and let everything be trial by media.
Maria Shriver Hides Anger, Puts Kids First {PopEater}
Jun 16th 2011 3:01AM The answer is quite simple: She's a Kennedy. Kennedy women don't aire their feelings in public; never have. That's the reason I'm surprised this story ever came out, much less they're being separated.
James Arness, Iconic 'Gunsmoke' Lawman, Dead at 88 {PopEater}
Jun 3rd 2011 6:57PM Second only to the Duke, himself, James Arness (ne Aurness) is the iconic towering hero. One of my favorite movies is "Sea Chase" in which John Wayne played the captain of a rusting German freighter, and Arness played a crew member. At 6'7" in his stocking feet, Arness towered over Wayne by 3"; but both were dominating presences. James outlived his brother, Peter (ne Aurness) Graves (3/14/2010, age 83) of "Mission Impossible" fame as the original television Jim Phelps, by only a little more than a year; but they both made their marks in cinematic history, and both have stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Rest in Peace, Marshall Dillon.
'Genderless' Baby Raises a Storm of Controversy {ParentDish}
May 26th 2011 6:52PM Will somebody please take all child psychologists out and shoot them before they destroy our children?
'Genderless' Baby Raises a Storm of Controversy {ParentDish}
May 26th 2011 6:48PM This is probably the stupidest idea I've every heard. I don't recall my parents ever telling me I was a boy. Somehow I knew! "Hey, Dad, I've got one of those!" or "Hey, Mom, what happened to your thingee?" That can't be kept a secret. What's the point?
'I'm Not Mel Gibson,' Says Director Lars von Trier {PopEater}
May 22nd 2011 6:59AM The world hates to let a juicy scandal fade away. I'm still a Gibson fan, and I don't even remember what he was supposed to have said. But, just because I still like Mel Gibson doesn't mean I'm anti-Semitic. We all have prejudices.
'The King's Speech,' Colin Firth, Natalie Portman Take Top Honors at 2011 Academy Awards {PopEater}
Feb 28th 2011 6:31AM I just have one question: What's with James Franco and that stupid pink dress? His personal bio doesn't indicate that he's gay, and I consider that a shameful display.
Tiger Woods Knocked Out in First Round of Match Play {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
Feb 24th 2011 1:43PM What is this love affair the media has with Urkel Woods? Don't they know he's washed up, an albatross, a white (I mean brown) elephant? Although, I must admit, reading about his being slammed bringa s smile to my face.
