Aug 5th 2008 5:03PM A fat tax would not be spent on anything but 'pork' when it comes to the government. Here in Florida back 88 the lottery was pushed because it was going to 'give back' to education. Yeah right! It's given back less than 10% since 1988. Wake up! Do you really want the government in every pocket they can find? They surpassed that anyway, went to heavy petting and now everyone just has to bendover to all the stupid laws and taxes. Do you realize it takes millions of dollars to pass a small bill that names a highway after some dead guy? How about all the commemorative signage that goes along with it? Fat tax? Congress would debate it for years and add their salaries up for just one day and you're lookin' at more than the average citizen will earn in a lifetime. Less government, stop whining, and don't think only fat people are buying potatoe chips!
