Secession Movement Grows in Vermont {Politics Daily}

Jan 14th 2010 8:39PM I live in Vermont, and they have been talking about this for at least two years now. This isn't the majority. Less than 5000 people out of a population of 750,000. It will never happen. Well, maybe not never, but definately not in the next 50 years. I do like living here. The people are overall very friendly, but it is expensive and full of college kids in the north. there are bigger issues that should be addressed before this.

Fans Walk Out on Tracy Morgan During Raunchy Routine {PopEater}

Nov 14th 2009 12:56PM I saw Tracy Morgan's stand up act when I was in college. He came to our school and put on a little ditty. Well he was rauncy and appalling then too. Nothing he said was remotely funny and spent over an hour hitting on two blondies in the front row and spoke about how it would be great if they had a 3-some after the show. He is disgusting, not a bit funny and not worth a penny to watch. Hopefully he reads this blog to find out how worthless he really is.

Virgin America considers new boarding: baggage-free passengers first {Gadling}

Oct 23rd 2009 9:58AM I am a frequent traveler myself and always check my bag. Out of the 100,000 miles that I have logged on numerous airlines, only once was my baggage lost and it was returned to me within 5 hours. Many airlines will offer up to two free checked bags if you join their frequent flyer program. That way, you don't have to worry about always watching your bag or wheeling it into the bathroom when you have to go. I do agree that they should let those individuals that have checked their luggage first, but we also need to get the flight attendants on board with it. I am one of those people that can preboard because I am considered an elite member, but was asked to take my small backpack out of the overhead so that someone could make room for their luggage. I freaked at the flight attendant. Simply stated, I check my bag, and so should everyone else. I know that the fees can be outrageous, especially if you check multiple bags....but come on, pay the 15 bucks and stop your b*tchin'! Have some consideration for those that actually check their bags, because they aren't the ones holding up the boarding process trying to shove their huge bag into a small space. And being almost 6 feet tall, there is no way I am putting my small backpack under the seat in front of me, where the heck would my legs go?

Jo Bro for President? Nick Jonas Says Look for Him in 2040 {Politics Daily}

Aug 27th 2009 10:13AM Funny, if I recall correctly....If you are a Republican you get to shoot your fellow man and get away with it. You get to spend 3/4 of the time you should be in the White House actually hanging out on your ranch in Texas. You get to be a violent alcoholic who has made so many financial mistakes that you will eventually bankrupt a nation. You get away with rigging not one, but two major elections. You have every oil mogul sitting in your back pocket. You consipire to blow up and successfully blow up a national monument and kill thousands of people to cover your and others illegal secrets. You support and acknowledge that you support terrorism. And if your Daddy wasn't there to pick up the pieces, you would have blown us all up.

I hate how this country sees people as Democrats or Republicans. How about take this into consideration. This country was looking for hope and change and that is what Obama was selling to the American people. We wanted to get out of the mess that the last 8 years has led us into. It didn't matter if it was Obama or some other canidate, McCain would have never won because many Americans were sick of the past administration's dealings. So, all of you that have nothing better to do...get off your high horse, he is going to be in office for the next 3 1/2 years (at least), so stop your bitching, and go volunteer your time to help others in need. Oh and if you didn't notice...Obama won by a landslide. He was declared the winner even before the polls on the west coast were closed...what does that tell you.

State sales tax holidays for 2009 start now! {WalletPop}

Aug 5th 2009 9:06AM Vermont does have a tax free day, I believe it is around August 18th. They have commercials on tv all the time announcing it.

AirAsiaX mulls charging passengers by weight {Gadling}

Aug 5th 2008 4:10PM I have a comment. I am a frequent traveler. And there is nothing I hate more than when people don't check their bags and end up carrying a piece of luggage, a garment bag and then a briefcase/purse/laptop case on the plane. Before we decide to start charging people based on their weight. Why not require everyone (yes everyone) to check their luggage. I realize that airlines lose luggage and it takes a whole 30 min more to get it at baggage claim..but honestly...take an earilier flight. There would be less crap in the overhead compartments, and then airlines could start charging for the weight of the bags instead of the people. Just an idea. And if you are a business traveler who only has a roll on piece of luggage, well it won't cost you alot..but if you are someone that has to have three different bags..well it is going to cost you a bit more.

Also, who needs peanut/pretzels. Stop serving food on these planes and look at all the money that you will save. Have emergency food supplies only (for diabetics). You are allowed to pack a lunch to take with you, just no liquids. And do you really need three cans of soda in a three hour flight--no. And if you want that much, then buy it at all the food courts.

Another thing that we should be protesting is the heightened security....not allowing people to bring in food and drinks...it is starting to get ridiculous. All these companies that are on the other side of the security gates rip us off and are charging $3 for a bottle of water...if we weren't getting so ripped off as a society, perhaps we wouldn't mind paying a little more for our airline seats.
