Dec 17th 2011 1:51AM State & Federal agencies DO investigate appraisals - FYI, major lenders ORDERED higher appraisals so they could make more loans - They also are aware of fraudulent loan applications, but again, lenders were interested in making loans regardless whether or not borrowers qualified - Do your own research (google)!

May 24th 2010 12:22AM 1) Are these devices REALLY reliable? There is no factual data to prove they are!
2) Of course Real Estate Agents will resist this type of added disrubtion to a sale - we have enough regulations as it is!
3) As one who has been in the general real estate & financing business for 47 plus years which includes appraising, I prefer a licened General Contractor who also does Property Inspections & Termite Inspections - They are experience & reliable - "Gadgets" are NOT reliable!
