May 28th 2011 8:45AM How did a 7 year old get PTSD? I used to teach with a man who did the same thing on his student's birthdays. The children not in his classroom begged to be remembered on their birthdays. It was a huge game to them. There's a big difference between a beating and a spanking. Many of today's children could use a bit of the latter.

May 11th 2011 11:35AM Stores are to blame as well as parents who buy the trashy clothes! I have searched high and low to find dresses that look like a 12 year old should wear them. There is nothing out there! The same problem with shoes. Kittle girls should be girls, they no longer can be. So, I don't buy the garbage. How I wish I had listened when my mom tried to teach me to sew.

Apr 26th 2011 1:58PM I am rendered typeless for a moment. Most everyone I know has handed down clothes. Ms. Obama has the luxury of handing down clothes that weren't bought at Wal-Mart. Those clothes don't seem to last long enough. I grant you, it is her choice to wear the clothes she does. As she is an educated, intelligent woman, she has demonstrated several times that she's not a fashionista. I for one have had it with the media that tries to make me believe in the emperor's new clothes. Does that make me a hater? Does being white have anything to do with that? You are a racist and that is a shame. I have the right to my opinion as you do yours. She came from nothing and used the tools available to get a good education. I'm sure some of my tax dollars were spent on that and I applaud her for using the system to her advantage. I take exception to you bringing up the race card. It's been done enough.
