Jun 14th 2009 6:02AM racisim is alive and well on both sides. however most civilized folks have learned to keep it to themselves. who hasn`t thought the "N" word or the "H" word, honky for those that don`t know. however things are getting better. in the south things move a bit slower then the rest of the country but i think everyone is at least trying. there are a lot of years of hate and abuse to overcome so please don`t expect miracles. i was a cop for 22 years and was called a "M F HONKY" many times and i simply smiled and said thank you. i would have lost my job had i of responded otherwise. likewise after 22 years of this i realized it was just words not actions. we put an end to racial actions so i guess it`s time to try and put and end to racial slurs ON BOTH SIDES.
