Jeff Conaway in Coma After Apparent Drug Overdose {PopEater}
May 19th 2011 1:12AM Addiction is not a choice. People who suffer from addictions, especially drugs and alcohol are fueled by suppressed fear and are out of control. The addiction is in control. That's why it's so hard to recover. I am very sad for Jeff. It is a waste of such a talented life. Prayers are being sent up for you, Jeff. Peace to you.
Mom With Stage 4 Breast Cancer Denied Custody of Kids in Bitter Battle {ParentDish}
May 11th 2011 5:54PM This is a horrible act by this judge. How insensitive can a person be? I had breast cancer and did 9 months of chemo, radiation, surgery with two daughters at home. Yes, it was extremely hard on them, but they learned from that hardship and the experience helped them to become stable, mature and caring individuals. Kids CAN be okay with an ill parent. As a matter of fact, this experience might be one of the best things that will happen in these young children's lives. Shame on that judge!

Tiger Woods: 'I Am Deeply Sorry' {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
Feb 19th 2010 12:00PM This is what happens when we make role models out of human beings. Tiger is no better nor worse than any one else. I can't believe how disappointed everyone is. What did you all expect? Tiger should make peace with God and with his wife and family. He didn't sin against the rest of us, and owes nobody else an apology.

Nov 9th 2009 3:21PM I agree completely. The happened because the coach allowed it to happen. My guess is this isn't the first time either. Coach Vela should be fired and the athlete should be banned from playing soccer by the NCAA.

Vandals Deface Kay Yow Memorial {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}
Feb 3rd 2009 6:31PM As someone battling breast cancer I can tell you there is nothing funny about it. As someone who also works in intercollegiate athletics, I can tell you that the great coaches are the ones who expect excellence and accept nothing less, and I've worked with great ones and not so great ones. As for Kay Yow, no coach racks up a record like hers without earning the respect of their players. I hope they find who did this and make them give an in person apology to Coach Yow's family. Maybe then they'll be able to see how difficult this has been for them and feel some remorse.
