Oct 23rd 2010 11:47AM My daughter is a BRAND NEW first grade teacher and recently went through a similar scenario . Her method of dealing with the "bullie" little girl was to stop it before it became physical ! She requested a conference with the "bullies" mother and soon learned that the "bullies" mother was not aware of the problem ! As an only child she was used to getting her way and being the boss ! The joint efforts of the cxhild's mother and her teacher ( my daughter) prevented the escalation to phydical abuse and also taught the bully a lesson in dealing with her peers ! "NIPPING ABUSE IN THE BUD" is the BEST solution !

Jul 17th 2010 5:51PM I would first like to say that I do not disagree with the majority of comments about "unfair and possibly double taxation" being imposed on business owners ; however it seems as though we get bigger crooks with each election !I work with business owners who have worked very hard to build a successful business and one of the most economic methods of funding for Federal Estate taxes has been accomplished by setting up "IRREVOCABLE TRUSTS" funded with "LIFE INSURANCE" which is payable upon the death of the business owner (or his or her surviving spouse) at exactly the same time as the tax is due ! You can be certain that we will have some form of Estate and Gift tax in the very near future and when we do , think about my solution to the problem !

Sep 25th 2008 10:26AM What "short" memories most of the commentators have ! Has everyone forgotten about the "Chrysler Bailout" ?
It sure seemed to be the right thing to do and I believe it preserved a lot of jobs ! I understand that no one likes the idea of rewarding "stupid business practices" ( especialy me !) ; however I believe that the bailout is the lesser of the two (2) EVILS ! SO LETS GET IT DONE AND GET ON WITH OUR LIVES !
