Nov 16th 2012 10:32AM I so totally agree about Delta--seats are the size of a postage stamp.I just can't believe the mean spiritedness of all the comments I've seen here.I met a retired "stewardess" from Eastern Airlines (long ago defunct) who told me she never flies anymore--what she has seen w/what the airlines have done to the seating is appalling.They took out reasonable sized seats & put in much smaller ones just so they can fit in more people--nevermind comfort.Now what happens when a heavier person has to sit next to a little teenager who takes off her shoes & the smell is overpowering--disgusting.She was tiny & didn't overlap but the odor did.Also--what about that same heavier person who has to sit next to someone who is coughing enough to lose a lung?Clearing his throat for an entire 3 hr plane ride?Just because he wasn't heavy I am assuming that is ok.Let's not even get into the misbehaving kids (I don't mean infants) & people who put their seats back so far their heads are under your chin.Heavier people pay the same amount for a ticket & also have a right to the space in front of them.Everyone has a gripe but do they all need to be so inconsiderate of people's feelings?

Nov 7th 2009 10:34AM I'll probably watch the show just because I rarely miss it & L & O is one of my favorites.Letterman isn't going to actually be ON the show--it's just based on all that crap that came out about him.Can't stand the man--would never watch HIS show.

Oct 22nd 2009 10:38AM I never cared much for John McEnroe when he played tennis.He acted like a spoiled brat & if I was his parent I would have been appalled to see him behave that way in front of millions of people.BUT-I never heard him threaten anyone--just rant & rave & in general make a fool of himself & be disrespectful.I don't think Serena will be the "icon" that is spoken about here.I don't think she's blazing any trails--there have already been black tennis players that have gone b4 her & with much more class I might add.You know the saying--you can take the person out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the person--she is a prime example.
