I voted for Obama, but I do not support anything that would close a Catholic hospital, seeing I benefit so greatly from one.

Aug 10th 2007 10:58AM I once had a tipsy Jew in my cab in SF. He told me that his parents taught him that he had to make $3 for every $1 he spent. I don't think he liked those values; that's why he was complaining to me. As a nation, Jews give far less to charity than most other nations. So I was told. On the other hand, Jews have contributed a great deal to humanity in many ways.
But many Protestant Christians, especially these TV evangelists, look pretty greedy to me. If some Jews are greedy--as no doubt some are--they sure can't hold a candle to some Protestant Christians I've seen.
Let's face it: There are truly grotesquely ugly people in all religions and they all use religion as a mask. That's natural since they don't want anyone to see their real face.
